We don't refuse to dismount, that would be silly. Rather our specialty and focus is on mounted combat as it allows us vastly superior mobility and survivability when outnumbered.

On the contrary I fought on Yssam today. Unfortunately I died to the extreme persistence of DIE. They completely ran me out of both stam potions and resin. Ask your boys in vent about the epic chase however.

On land, yes, if all you do is practice mounted combat, and working as a team while mounted, then you could probably achieve alot of things that foot soldiers couldnt.

Personally, Ive always loved the idea of a cavalry charge into infantry, but people underestimate mounted combat, and dismount before fighting.

The Horsemen would definitely have their uses. If there is a large scale battle going on, and 20 mounted come in from behind the enemy, game over.

But alone, you would probably be destroyed simply by ranged weapons. 'Support Unit' comes to mind.

I am also fully aware of the horsemen's ability to fight mounted as I've been ambushed by their gank squads before, which is alright... for mounted pvper's I guess.... 5v1, 6v2... lol

Also stop with this we 4v7 guys and won! bragging, alls it proves is, given the uber leet battlehorns and your decent mounted maneuvers you can seduce enemies into outrunning their comrades to engage you where the odds are even. And then you claim that all of your enemies were one group.

Just the other night a clansmen and I snuck into an enemy clans city and killed their bloodwall/bankers without being detected, we fell back and did the same shit you do that allows you to fight impossible odds, we were persued by 6 naked zergs 3 of which had fire magic, Guess what we killed all 6 two at a time. I'm not bragging about this, I know that if we had stood and fought 6vs2 on level grounds, all at once, We would have been anally raped probably.

So bottom line, stop turning this into a "WE ARE UBER LEET HIRE US AND EVERYONE YOU WANT DEAD WONT MESS WITH YOU" thread. Also if you want to keep doing the later instead go out and claim a fucking clan city or hamlet, then you WILL GET ROCKED.

Black Horseman is a good player. Some of his boys are rather lacking though. They are even pretty cool to talk too. I would say they are good at hit and run tactics, but thats nothing special in Darkfall. Anyone can roll up with four people on battlehorns and merc some unmounted players and blaze out. I mean thats pretty much the service we're offering. Basically we're a recon/skirmish group. That means that our use during a siege would be to locate and engage enemy forces before they're able to gather, or en route to a rondevu. We're particularly good at this as well as keeping larger forces engaged and attritioning.

I'm not saying we're the best pvpers in the world or anything, I'm just saying we are good at what we do, and we think thats a service people might be interested in.

Your parry skill is surging. Fighting really close to your base of operations was killing our loot factor. Fun fights though for sure. That kobold inc guy had a really interesting technique with his flying strafing mount kicks.

I think he died 3v1 the first time and 7v1 the second time. We war dec so we can kill everyone, not necessarily because we're going to make their life miserable. Just makes it more convenient for us to kill them.

Well, seeing how Sturmgrenadier got brung into all this for some reason, I'll recant the story for everyone involved.

Our boy Toro Eltiburon a good friend of mine was just mining around lesser Faulk and Pale Horseman I guess decided he would give good oh Toro a go.

It was 1v1 and toro was in junk gear just mining against Pale who was in banded I think which isn't that much better than leather but still.

Toro says he was getting attacked and they fought for a good 5 mins or so.

I headed that way from Dragrenoth so the fight was ongoing for awhile between them both.

When I showed up Toro had him running away on his mount Pale came out the west entrance of Lesser F. right into me and jumped in the water while mounted lawl. I killed him off his mount because he was down to less than 1/4 health already.

Thats how the first kill went down.

1v1 with Toro and Toro got ther better of him, I just came in and ninja'd his Battlehorn and offered it up in the trade channel for sale to the naked farmers around the area.

We then killed him 3 more times because he was bound at the chaos stone there in Lesser F. Black Horseman showed up with one other Horseman (forget the name).

We positioned ourselves inside the city on top of tents and they tried to entice us to turn grey by staying near the blues running around.

Guess they didn't want a fight and left.

We then caught him over by Dragrenoth he died a couple more times I think and then rage quit out of the game.

That's how it went down. No embellishment. I told them we would return the peace treaty if they offered it. Shrugs.. not that it really matters. :rolleyes:

Anyways, Hope you guys are having fun. That's what the game is about. If your not having fun then don't play.

now I'm not going to presume that i know what happen but, i will say that their was no other horseman. only a few of us were on that night. 2 of us were in tribe land, 1 on ice island, and black in dwarf lands. black the only one really close enuff to make the trip and the rest of us calling it a night. so don't come here acting like it was 3 horseman vs 2 of you guys.

i have yet to hear of any guild say we didn't give them a good fight no matter the numbers and, that goes from black shields down to undead army. all i see on this tread are a bunch of fanboy butt hurt cuz they got curb stomped. so as long as you keep crying that means we are doing our job:sly:

now I'm not going to presume that i know what happen but, i will say that their was no other horseman. only a few of us were on that night. 2 of us were in tribe land, 1 on ice island, and black in dwarf lands. black the only one really close enuff to make the trip and the rest of us calling it a night. so don't come here acting like it was 3 horseman vs 2 of you guys.

i have yet to hear of any guild say we didn't give them a good fight no matter the numbers and, that goes from black shields down to undead army. all i see on this tread are a bunch of fanboy butt hurt cuz they got curb stomped. so as long as you keep crying that means we are doing our job:sly:

as for Sturmgrenadier, i remember waring you guy the first week of na server up. i do remember dying once or twice but, i do remember getting 5 of you guys. i also remember you guys messaging us for peace. after that i remember almost never seeing you guys there in orc lands until most of us left for tribe lands.

PS. McDoogs arent you suppose to be trolling the eu boards. we still got 3 guys there under UN tags and still holding down Jaradan. I've seen the sieges ya'll kicked some arse.

Our boy Toro Eltiburon a good friend of mine was just mining around lesser Faulk and Pale Horseman I guess decided he would give good oh Toro a go.

It was 1v1 and toro was in junk gear just mining against Pale who was in banded I think which isn't that much better than leather but still.

Toro says he was getting attacked and they fought for a good 5 mins or so.

I headed that way from Dragrenoth so the fight was ongoing for awhile between them both.

When I showed up Toro had him running away on his mount Pale came out the west entrance of Lesser F. right into me and jumped in the water while mounted lawl. I killed him off his mount because he was down to less than 1/4 health already.

Thats how the first kill went down.

1v1 with Toro and Toro got ther better of him, I just came in and ninja'd his Battlehorn and offered it up in the trade channel for sale to the naked farmers around the area.


That's a bit of an embellishment. More than a bit, actually.

I tried fighting "Toro". Got him below half with a starter club before he started parrying and jumping in and out of water. I was naked at this point on a mount with a newbie club. After getting bored of chasing him around the water and beating down the durability of his shield, I ran to the bank to gear up. As I grabbed some items, multiple SG arrived. I didn't have time to chug (or grab) pots/food. I threw down a mount, and ran for the quickest break in LOS. Outside to the right. You're correct that I was at 1/4th health, and I died within 3 bow shots. To say that you and Toro killed me by yourselves is beyond an overstatement, it's a lie. Ask "Toro" how many of your people were inside the city prior to my first death.

The spawn camping is a given. Golf clap.

We then killed him 3 more times because he was bound at the chaos stone there in Lesser F. Black Horseman showed up with one other Horseman (forget the name).

We positioned ourselves inside the city on top of tents and they tried to entice us to turn grey by staying near the blues running around.

Black showed up and distracted long enough for to me to get out and gear up at Naergur. There was no 3rd.

We didn't engage...there was no point running into a town while you were launched on a building raining spells and arrows on us. We were not attempting to get you grey (there was no one else near us) but hoping you could muster the nerve to engage us outside. I said as much a few times in tells.

We then caught him over by Dragrenoth he died a couple more times I think and then rage quit out of the game.

The death by Dragrenoth was the death aforementioned, after fighting Black Shields. I believe the ork that got wrecked by towers as your group of 6 jumped in between us was Kegadin (fun fight, while it lasted). There was one death there, not several, as you stated. I was still bound at Chopping Necks at the time, so unless you managed to teleport me back and kill me a few times before I logged out, I'm unsure as to how that would occur.

I will grant that I underestimated your ability to parry while your groups assemble. Try not to get a big head. Parry will be fixed eventually.

Well, seeing how Sturmgrenadier got brung into all this for some reason, I'll recant the story for everyone involved.

BTW, recant doesn't mean what you think it does. Google define:recant. I also don't agree that you necessarily got called into question here. I imagine you just felt like tooting your horn before the collective.

I had dark horseman or black horseman or whoever chase me today. I got a flying kick or two in on him but his 1h was fucking my mount up big time, and I had to dip out. He stuck on my ass pretty well but I managed to get away.

I'll vouch for their mounted combat ability.

Gankable Player and Mirko xCrocopx are still the best mounted fighters I've encountered, however.
