Allow us to have 10 preset equipment loadouts, buttons at the bank screen that when pressed will put all the chosen equipment on us.
It won't be a way to autobank away your current gear because the current gear just goes into your inventory.
The main purpose of the system is to easily don gear, switching from harvesting and crafting, when a threat to your town is spotted.
As if people actually would risk their good gear when crafting or harvesting, it's not something you should encourage because it would look stupid to have plate armored knights reaping a farm. One of the immersive things is how city laborers, essentially, wear basic or no gear.

Did you get attacked by reds while harvesting, and didn't have enough time to switch to your plate&polearm?

Did your parents abuse you?

You've got ten hotbars, hotkey up your gear (on bar 9 or something) and carry identical gear sacks. Use bags for easy withdrawl.
Nothing needs to change here.

That is not even remotely the same. Please take your stupidity elsewhere.

Narcowski is correct. Use a macro to equip things from a hotbar.
OP's suggestion is unnecessary.

I would have to switch between two macro bars for a single set of equipment, and I've got four sets. that leaves no room for accessing all the various weapons, items, spells associated with them.
You do the math = You're a failure.

A full set of armor is 10 pieces, which perfectly fills one hotbar.
You should be using the same weapons/staffs/bows, which should arguably be on your primary hotbar anyway.
Jewelry is an anomaly, and easy enough to put on a tertiary hotbar.
Even if you typically have two different "sets" of armor you use on a regular basis (light and heavy, or pve and pvp), that's a grand total of 3 bars used (one for each set, one for extras like jewelry). You do the math.
The point is that it is unnecessary for AV to spend the development time on fluff like this when there are perfectly acceptable solutions and so many other things are outright broken.
Sure, I could eventually (long, long time down the road) see them implementing something like this. But it would still be as unnecessary then as it is now.
Good day to you sir.

Wait, you can put armor pieces on hotbars now? As in, push a button, chest piece gets equipped?
That didn't work at launch and I never remembered to check again later...

It "worked" at launch, the only problem was that if the durability changed it would be considered as a different item and dropped off the hotbar. At least that was the way it worked with mounts for a while (hp change = dropped off hotbar).
It works perfectly now.

Good idea, would give more incentive to gear up when the enemy is nearly on you - I've geared up just a little too late and been focused hard whilst I'm still equipping gear. I'm sure others have experienced the same, despite the majority wouldn't even dare to gear up when there's hostiles near. :p

Do this, place the items you wish to "quick equip" in a bag inside your bank. Then when you wish to equip them, pull that bag out and put said items on. YOU JUST DID EXACTLY WHAT YOUR SUGGESTION WOULD DO.

Personaly dont see the need for this.
I have a real dislike of people who walk about naked or in a cloth suit or some shit with just starter weps - even to harvest. And I think they deserve to get owned if they walk around unprepared.
I always wear my normal gear, except when I am in a meat wall while I sleep.
Why be scared to gear up in your own towns...
