View Full Version : Master gathering should decrease 4 secs not 2 secs

I really think that less 2 secs really dont do any difference at all, at least 4 secs of bonus would be enought, you would still spend more than half of the time to gather, and it still be balanced.

True, especially since they made goldfarming much easier since the last patch. Faster gathering of ressources should even things up.

Resources are being bought/used faster than people can get them out there!

Same with regs, its been a while since I've seen someone actually sell regs in trade chat.

Yes. Reduce gathering time = more time to actually play = good.

And no, the economy will not crash from shaving a few seconds off of gathering times.

You farm say 800 stone in a day.

That's 26 minutes a day.

Say you farm 80 days.

Thats 2133 minutes.

35 hours.

Still a good idea though.

10 to 6 instead of 10 to 8 is not good enough. Should be at least 10 to 5, and if they think that is too much, let them balance it by making Mastery take longer to grind.

Apart from that, I agree.

That's a good point. It takes a hellacious amount of time to farm resources but some people are making ridiculous amounts of gold off mobs and then simply buying whatever they need.

Adding an extra free 2 seconds onto master-harvesting skills is a little to easy. I suggested something a little more rigorous at

Even if we had a 3rd skill to drop another 3 secs... I wouldnt mind raising it.
Either way, harvesting does need a rebalance...

I agree with the post, but as it stands now, I have no idea why the value of wood and iron on the open market remained the same when they upped the gold drops from mobs. You'd think people would start demanding more gold for iron and wood now that there's more gold circulating...?

um, how is harvesting within guard tower range the same risk as PvE'ing high enough mobs to give decent gold?

all you want is for your alts to gather more gold while you grind away skills.

they made it 2 sec for a reason, making your income increase by another 20% during harvesting would make everybody return to tower range...

I have to agree with this statement. Now, I have nothing against introducing skills/ability and especially equipment that improves harvesting output OUTSIDE tower range. But anything inside tower range can just stay as it is now.

IMO, no. Harvesting is a chore compared to PVE and the gain is way too little.

with 80 to 100 arrows, i can down a mob legit (open field) that drops 370 gold and 20 of all reagents. Takes like 5 minutes to do.

Compared to harvesting i would get... 300/8 = 37.5 swings = 37 or 38 IF all success (obviously about 25% fail chance, so 30 total would be a decent bet). So 23 iron ore and 7 sulfur. OR 370 gold and 20x6x4g each = ~830g which i could buy about 200 iron ore with or 200+ sulfur.

Rare ore, stone, wood needs to be implemented to normal nodes to justify harvesting them. Obviously also needs to be implemented to crafting (rare stone and rare wood, i mean).

Harvesting is not worth the hassle from normal nodes, unless you desperately want stats. (which you should)

Well fist of all, havesting has its rewading that separates from pve, the stats gain is way faster, now!!! This post has the sole proporse to suggest that 20% of time off from 100 of master gathering its pretty much nothing, at least 40% should be implemented.
