Are White Hetereosexual Males Persecuted?

As you may or may not know, I'm an avid reader of the internets. I have heard many arguments, and followed many threads.

One stark argument I noticed was that people have the notion that white heterosexual males are persecuted. They claim that the liberal and quite often and quite silly actually, the jewish, media and government are out to get them and make life difficult.

So are straight white guys like us, who comprise the majority of this board, persecuted? Are we discriminated against?

My explanation is that no. Though their does exist affirmative action(it displaces Asians more then Whites however), and politically correctness to a degree has an effect.

Generally, almost all power still lies in the hands of the discussed group. (A side bit, this will falter due to women taking over undergraduate programs in universities, to the point of even 70% in the future.)

I see it that many people just like to bitch about the forces of society antagonizing them. I'd think it gets blown out of proportion(in the same vein of Jesse Jackson) so our life stories can be seen as more meaningful, noteworthy and even heroic instead of the sheltered reality that many live.

Its a recurring problem in all facets that people over dramatize their lives to the point of bullshit, so it might be extended to the point where some may think they are persecuted.

Too true. I myself have never been discriminated against for being white but I've had friends turned down scholarships that were given to minorities who wern't as qualified. Affirmative action is bullshit, nough said.

I've actually read that affirmative action is going to take place in the UC system that would favor more white people. Interesting to see it go another direction, but its still discriminating in character likewise with the current AA programs.

If AA should work for anyone, it should just boost the lower class and give them a better opportunity.

The company I support is listed in Forbes top 500 most diverse companies.. so they have made a culture out of hiring women and minorities over white males even though they represent a small percentage of the actual workforce above anyone but secretaries. In the last six years I have seen every IT management position given to a woman... yet in our entire building there are only 3 female engineers... out of a hundred or so people. When these three were hired their qualifications were questionable and we pased up a lot of much more qualified engineers who were males (most of whom were white or asian)

They even require 25% of the subcontracters to be minority/women owned even if they cant offer the lowest bid/most production hours.

I guess it depends where you work and the culture of the people running the place. At my office they don't really want women in high up positions because they feel women shouldn't be focused on a career. Yes, this is in the US.

I just went through three AA-concerning(and political correctness in general) Lew Rockwell articles.

Its safe to say nothing pisses me off more than that. It essentially fucks up and destroys the lives and merits of all races by giving the incompetent spots.
