View Full Version : Who are the NA Alliances?
DesirableNotion

I know I have watched some guilds ally up but who are all the alliances and why are they hiding? Seems the only alliance to pop up on the map so far are the guilds down on Cairn. Are people hiding intentionally or is everyone just waiting until they can come up with some unique moniker?

alot of us got tired of having so many allies. we may be friendly with them but that doesnt mean no pvp, just means we dont nut hug them.

Alliances won't be made public for a few weeks. First, the guilds involved don't want to be targeted as the first big zerg. Secondly, the alliances are still evolving. Third, some guilds are allied with guilds that are not friendly with each other. VG had that problem in that last month of EU. AC was our ally there but they were at war with most of our other allies.
My guild came to NA planning on hooking up with DIE and KGB. We've met up with quite a few more guilds on this server but its hard to tell which guilds will fold and which ones will be great allies.
Personally, I'm aware of several alliances in the game that have yet to be published. Usually people who have cities/hamlets close to each other are friendly/allied. So when attacking a guild, keep in mind who their neighbors are.

Haha. Know what's kinda sad. DIE + VG + KGB = 149 members. That's how many people we had in VG before NA. Too many people from our guilds refused to reroll and forget about their EU characters.

I can't speak for other clans but as far as BkS is concerned we have no intention of finding ourselves in a large alliance due to the simple fact that you can't test or know everyone and their habits and skill levels in the depth that's needed in our opinion.
Our only allies at the moment are Angels of Death due to their similiar philosophy of select recruiting and emphasis on individual player skill instead of clan numbers. To be honest, the friendly talks only started after we saw them attempt a raid on our hamlet with admirable execution and skill.

No kidding. When SA showed up to be nothing more than a pile of fail, the Western half of agon (cities west of Aradoth and MS) became practically irrelevant for the remainder of the server. Not to mention, Rubyatte ended up being completely devoid of any lasting/remotely successful alliances.

This. Also, the whole moniker thing, but we should come up with something witty before too long. Currently it's The Exodus Syndicate, 420, Insidious, Calamitous Intent, The Necromongers, and Einherjar. Things are still evolving so nothing is really set in stone yet.

ya, AoD is a great clan, and from my experiences with then on EU (Death alliance) they would be a close fit with your guild's "code"
nothing but good things about those guys.

Ok not sure why people are slobbering on AoD's nuts. They are definately cool peeps but the few encounters I had with them ( solo vs. 2 or more) didn't fair well for em. Good guys for sure. But I didn't notice anything significant.

ya cause we all know that one or two 2v1 fights determine a guild's collective worth...
there is a reason why alot of people talk about aod, robin hood, TM, and Black shields... and outnumbered (edit sry to forget u guys :) )

How dare those assholes talk about anyone else.
It's ok, man -- Winterblades is a good clan, but not every thread will be about you guys. Other clans are pretty good, I hear, as well.
I've seen Outnumbered talked about before, as well as AoD on the EU boards. You've heard of RH, I haven't, but I'm not going to say "No one talks about them.", because I'm not God and not omniscient, therefore unable to know who talks about what at all times. How do you do it?

I don't recall AOD ever having been talked about in a positive light - I'm going to throw this out there and yes I'm well aware I'm in eXile.
AoD were allowed into Death to defend Skogul for Sinister.(the best hamlet in the game) They did a horrible job and were constantly ridiculed in ventrillo and Sinister clan chat.
When Aesir obtained a city on Rubiyat, AoD used to naked zerg from it into Ul'Hamra and fail all day, every day. The only reason I know who these sacks of shit are, is because I've been in Sinister and eXile. I also remember them as 'aod ax federation' or something holding Hammerdale at launch, if that's even the same people. The only reason I remember that is because Hammerdale is between the human starter towns and Cairn.
That Apollo kid must truly be on crack. If they're getting talked about as a good guild on NA then maybe they should allow transfers before three months.

RH and TM were the only guilds listed that have a large amount of talent in group vs group pvp. The others just kind of roll over and die.

Which is your opinion.
The other poster has his right to his, surely you're aware of this?
They're both valid -- Also, you don't play on NA, so you don't really know if there are clans who also have large amounts of talent in group v group pvp over here. Being as you're not playing on the NA server, I'd say it's an ignorant statement on your part to discount certain clans playing over here who you've never even seen play.

The issue is that players and members of this community have always equated the success of the mercs to their level of skill as compared to the rest of the server.
I would suggest that there are actually MANY guilds whom have a good deal of skill and experience in group pvp but they never had the resources to allow EVERY SINGLE ONE of their members the ability to raise all of their skills to 80+.
Talk all the shit you want, but in the end, TM makes just as many mistakes tactically as the other "top tier" guilds on the server, their characters and their equipment just make up the difference and allow them continue pushing on.
Guilds on NA now will have the opportunity to roll out against each other with fairly balanced gear and such and had TM showed up on day one of NA, the world would have probably seen that TM is a quality group of gamers but not the "Best of the Best" that all their lap dogs claim them to be.
