This was a hugely successful way to bring more players into the Siege Perilous UO Shard, which is the closest recent gaming experience similar to DFO that I can remember.

This is the website for Newborn on Siege - the guild [NEW].
NEW is a guild unlike most other guilds that you will encounter in Ultima Online.
We are not a PvP guild, we are not a PvM guild.
We do not roleplay - although several of our members do.
We do not form alliances, or take part in wars with other guilds.
NEW is a 'service' guild. We are, quite simply, here to help anyone who is new to Siege.
Anyone who is new to Siege is welcome to a month's membership of the guild, during which time we will do as much as possible to make you feel at home!
We offer a wide variety of help to newcomers, including things like:
* Armor
* Weapons
* Tools
* Information about Siege
* Ways to make gold on Siege
* Information about the various guilds
* Training assistance and techniques
* An introduction to the Siege community
* and a lot more besides!

We offer help for all templates, and all play styles.
It doesn't matter if you want to be a shining white paladin, a damsel in distress, the village blacksmith, or a murderous dictator with an army of minions at your beck and call - we can help start you on your way!
