Greetings Potential Members (and our Allies),
My name was originally <Deca> and about 4 years ago I founded the guild Apollo in a game that we've all come to know and love as a major flop....that being the game Age of Conan. Since then our core group, mostly comprised of mature adults (many of us are 30 years old and better), who like to game, PVP, and bull#$%^ with each other on Vent.
We have made the decision to move to NA1, and we intend to be a little bit more aggressive on this new server than we have been on EU1.

Who We are: As mentioned above Apollo is a mature adult gaming community. If you are under 18 we have no hard feelings towards you, but this isn't the guild for you. The simple fact is that 30 year olds and 18 year olds don't really see "eye to eye" on the maturity level, and while 12 years ago we were all "leet and kewl" and how "pro" we were.......let's just say we're too old....and too tired for that now. Our preferred age of applicant is 21 and over. (If you've survived long enough on this planet to enter the Bar Scene "legally".....we can generally tolerate your humor, and you'll fit in well with us.)
What We Are: We are PVP'ers and Crafters. We will be organizing a Military Sector and a Crafting Sector, each with their own set of fundamental rules.
PVP'ers (aka The Military Of Apollo): PVP first, craft second. These teams will have mandatory PVP events multiple times per week. If you're on (and you'll be expected to have a high play time during event periods), you will be called to action, no afk macro'ing, no crafting, no not answering your tells. Don't leave your character online if you know you will be AFK for our PVP events.
**We will be aggressive. We will have allies, but we at Apollo will be war mongering. If you're not a friend, you should die, and we should burn your buildings, and take your women. That's us. Our goal is to one day vanquish all enemies ruthlessly to the point of /gamequit, and or form one big alliance can like in Civilization IV, we can call it a Diplomatic Victory, game over, and we can move on to the next game. (We'd prefer this takes at least 5 years to accomplish )
We will do all this without Nerd Raging at our keyboards if we happen to lose a fight....whether it was skill, out zerged, lagged out or whatever.......You will never see us on the forums posting about it.
We'll let the talking be done in game and when the fight is over, winner or loser........remember.....our leaders are 30 something year olds several of us like myself are well established business men.
We're not here to "pwn" anyone. We just set a goal for ourselves, and you know......we think it will be a lot of fun for ourselves and the server by trying to achieve it.
CRAFTERS: Our Crafters lead a more simple lifestyle. They are protected by our city, but they must donate a certain amount of whatever it is our Supreme Generals decide we need....on a weekly basis. In exchange for their donations they will have access to our hamlet, village, city and they will be protected aggressively by our Military which will patrol, will respond, and will vanquish any aggressive attitudes towards our Crafters. ((The Military generally thinks of the Crafters as Women-folk......and we don't take kindly to people even looking wrong at our Women-folk.
The only PVP requirements of our Crafters. Is IF our City or Hamlet are sieged, they have to pick up their pitchforks and shovels......and come defend our territory with their very lives.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Any non-douchebag, non-social retard, over 21 year old, who might enjoy gaming in a structured, yet mature, PVP loving environment. Crafters are welcome, and we always do appreciate and respect the lovely ladies in our guild. (Hey we're 30 something year old men....we're mid life crisising and whatnot....)
Many will apply. Some will get in.
