try not voting until you know a bit about both.

I chose Prototype, I'm not really into sandbox games that force you to take a certain path. Sooo Infamous? meh.

I've only played the demo of infamous seemed pretty decent although i wasn't too keen on the whole assassins creed movement but the combat seemed solid and the story interesting. Prototypes combat looks more varied but i wouldn't realy say better the story looks a bit more generic but i much prefer the way alex moves around the city (atleast from vids).

OP should just sit in a corner drinking some bleach product and chewing brillo pads until he learns the Way of OT

Infamous has better movement and a better storyline.

I find it hard to empathize with the main character from Prototype, as he is just killing to kill.

infamous failed when they only released it for ps3

Infamous has much better gameplay imo. Prototype's combat looks flashy but it gets pretty boring after a few hours. That and Prototype has lock-on aiming, fuck that. At least Infamous had the balls to implement only manual aiming in a console game, as well as head shots.

The melee combat in Infamous was just basic but the electrical powers were VERY satisfying to use, moreso than Prototype. I also liked the much higher difficulty of Infamous, you die really fast even against the weakest enemies (you have electrical powers but that's it, no superman health) whereas in Prototype you can take a fuckload of hits.

Also, did I mention that Reaper Conduits are by far the most badass enemies of any game? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mKd8VRzwUM#t=3m40s the guys in white.

EDIT: That vid I linked to at 3:40 also happens to be the most epic side mission of the entire game.

I fell asleep during the first 30 minutes of Prototype. I spat at my monitor out of disgust for this shitty game.

I liked the final boss.

That vid is on Normal difficulty, I played it on Hard. The first thing you think on hard is "Holy shit.. this is gonna take a ton of time, and one mistake will kill me, what the fuck?".

i just finished prototype and it was average at best.

got boring after a while and the battles pissed me off more than being enjoyable.

i only kept playing because i don't want to leave games unfinished.

wolverine was good though add this to the poll.

I've been playing prototype, it kicks ass. Haven't played infamous, but the video viluin linked makes it look like a boring spell-spamming fest. Prototype may have auto targeting, but it's still kinda difficult as there is often tons of shit going on at the same time.

yeah, auto aim is never a good thing :(

but to be honest, melee game + no autoaim = darkfall.

Bullshit, I've played Prototype and it's far too forgiving. Just go around sucking up people all the time and there's no way you'll die. It's also far too forgiving, your health bar seems to last forever. In Infamous, if you get hit by an RPG, you're near-death, one more shot from anything will kill you unless you heal yourself.

It's not a boring spamfest, it's a fun spamfest that actually takes skill. And aim-lock is just a game killer for me. Prototype's environment also looks really bland, you can tell they made it too big to put it any details.

If a games too easy, you could always just.. make it harder?

I do agree auto aim is a horrible feature.. but like I said, melee games look like shit without auto aim.

Infamous' melee system has "auto-aim" too. But the ranged attacks are all manual. Prototype is 100% lock-on.

Actually, you can do pretty much all of your attacks without locking on. Maybe you should just refrain from using the lock-on button :p

That's clumsy as hell, it was obviously not intended that way.
