I'm downloading Aion right now. Played some NC games before so I instantly got a closed beta invite :) when I prepurchased the game.

Graphics look good....Guess I'll see how the gameplay is later on after downloading it.

Had a clan member try Aion about a month after Darkfall launched - it's a PvE grind like most other MMOs, and while it looks pretty it gets boring pretty quickly.

Personally I play DCSS (http://crawl-ref.sourceforge.net) or TF2 when I don't feel like playing Darkfall.

Yeah it's an NCSoft game so I kinda expect it to a point. I played L2 for 3 years+. If it gets boring I'll move on, but it's something to pass some time :)

Funny story regarding your second point -

The game 'wheelman' with voice-overs and on screen impersonation of Vin Diesel was due to be released in a combined video / game release

However the movie seems to have been lost along the way, leaving the pixelated Vin high and dry

So now we have a game designed around a movie that was never actually filmed

The funny part is - the game is shithouse, so it does follow the trend of game + based on movie/tv show = SUCKS
