Wouldn't you know, delayed for 7 months so that it can launch the same day on both platforms. They say they want to ride the wave of publicity as much as they can. God only knows they had to dumb down the game for the console kiddies, like they usually do, but I can understand wanting to release things all at once. But not a game that has been advertised as PC exclusive all through its development, but here's the best part. Bioware released Mass Effect and many other ports almost a year after its console release. Perhaps you should have "ridden the wave of popularity" then too.

Between this, that horrible single player MMO they are making, and announcing a Mass Effect trilogy before Mass Effect was even out for a day, and not releasing promised patches for Mass Effect PC, I think we can say that Bioware is dead.

With the loss of Bioware and Bethesda, seems Valve is the last good PC gaming company, and L4D2 seems to be the game that breaks THEM.

I still like some games, I just refuse to buy them (fuck you, I'm not paying money so I can get some neat item or something, for a singleplayer game). Also, pretty much every single game sucks or is mediocre, and there's a couple of good ones. Only a couple earn 9 in my eyes. (Mass Effect, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault for instance)

But the rest are meh at best. And sports games, how much have they changed in the past 15 years? Whens the last time they added something extravagant, ground-breaking, and utterly amazing? Close to never, the gameplay is pretty much the exact same every single time, and occasionally they throw in a little fluff. They are doing good at 'not fixing what isn't broken.' though.

Also, both Crysis' were there for graphics only. It was a decent FPS at its best.

It's funny how he has to dig back to games from the early early 90s (most of which no one remembers) to find games by EA that didn't totally suck. And most of the ones he listed weren't made by EA, merely published by them. We've already seen EA's taint to this game, forcing them to make a console port, then forcing them to delay the game so it can launch the port at the same time. They probably dumbed down the PC version as well.

I don't agree with Badem often. In fact I don't think I have before, but I have to say he is right. Build a fucking brudge and get over your nerd rage buddy. That goes for everyone else. Hating a game just because of the company who publishes it, even if you like the game and enjoy playing it, is just plain ignorant. Games are there for you to have fun with. If you buy a game thinking and knowing in your mind it's going to suck because it was published by EA... self fufilling prophecy. Your mind will find things to nag and bitch about to ultimately make you hate that game even if it's really good. I don't like most of those games on the list, but they aren't horrible games... that much I know.

I've read all I could, the game seems pretty god damned deep, with the character development system and class specializations;start with mage:than you can choose to become a blood mage at level 7 and continue to specialize. Plus your party members will react to your decisions and will leave your party if you do a lot of stuff they disapprove of. True, but they're designing it with singleplayer experience in mind. Just think of all that effort they put into the NWN multiplayer but instead focusing it on singleplayer story and immersion.
