I thought you were playing EvE?

TBH the MMO market is pretty stale, I found WWII online fun for a while though.

Huxley beta was easy to get into, so there something new to play but servers are only up from 10pm to 5am UK time I think and I've not had time to get into it.

Aion beta is in progress, but other than looking nice I'm not sure we'll see anything new.

Personally I've had my fill of the MMO market, I'd say EvE is the exception but the others seem to more focused on the quick ££s rather than longevity. Next decent game out looks to be ARMA 2.

If by good you mean free, then yes, it did.

You could play the best MMO

Its called "Get Laid"

Your standard attack is "Pickup Lines". In order to help, you can use "humor" and "alcohol". If you want to use the super attack, "Date Rape", you must use the attack "Roofie".

It is of course a open-world FFA environment, so watch out for women with large adam's apples, cockblock, STD's, and hangovers.

Ah, but remember, some women have buffs, such as "Breast Enhancement" and "Short Skirts".

Remember, you only gain EXP when you get laid, so keep trying.

Also, the game has the best "grind" in the literal sense!

With boys right? Vaginas are gross.

TD;LR version: Vanguard sucked when it came out and for a few months after that. Right now, it's pretty decent. House building rocks, some of the best I've ever experienced. PVP can be interesting. Roleplay is mostly dead, save a few exceptions. Graphics are awesome if you crank them up to max. Sound effects are also pretty wicked.

I've actually been playing Vanguard for the past couple days (been on vacation so I'm talking those 8 hour days of nothing but gaming where you eat a big meal in the morning so big that you hate yourself and just go for 8-9 hours straight without even getting tired or hungry because you are so immersed in playing. And then you wake up and realize "Oh... my...god... I am hungry and it's midnight." Then you pass out and do it all again tomorrow). Took me awhile to really get used to it again but it's shaped up pretty nicely. Haven't found a single bug, not even the notable ones I remembered when I first played (release to about a month after the server merges which was one of the biggest clusterfucks I've ever seen. Roleplayers merged with PVPers merged with Normal servers. That was one hell of a month of ganking, counter-ganking, gank wars, wars, flaming wars, some guy being raped by a camel, flaming ganker being raped by a rival ganker on his camel which happens to be flaming on account of being shot by a mage type, verbal wars in chat of all forms, and so on. Haven't seen any of that. I think everyone pretty much killed each other to death and quit their separate ways. Game seems pretty populated now, even for Seradon which was my server, the lowest population server now due to it being the one that got the rp server).

PVP is pretty interesting, I've had to deal with a few people. Got my ass handed to me numerous times, most of them were higher levels with the big fancy spells and abilities and such. I did actually manage to -almost- kill one of the higher levels, but still ended up dying.

If you plan on roleplaying at all, bring friends. Role players are few and far between.

House creation- by far... the best I've seen since SWG and City of Heroes (Granted those aren't houses in CoH but they're still extremely customizable and in the same mindset as player housing). Numerous selections for house sizes in the real game world (Prices go higher as the sizes get higher, very high prices it's not too easy to get yourself a house, with upkeep fees to prevent empty house syndrome) Place items anywhere you want, anyway you want. Lock doors, give permissions, etc etc. If you want to be an armor salesman or whatever... you can place what you are selling around the shop for people to look at when they come in. This is how housing should be done.

If role play wasn't so almost completely dead in the game I'd open my own tavern, pity. Everything else seems to be hopping though. My search will continue though.

I tried Vanguard for a bit, couldn't get over the dated ''click 1,2,3..'' combat system.

Neither can I, which is why I don't play DF which bases itself heavily on frantically clicking away at an enemy. I cant figure out what's worse actually.

The combat style in Mount & Blade is the way forward imo.
