First off, they have been around since the 60's. (you could say, so had rolling stones). BUT...arrowsmith still makes NEW music that are hits today. (try and compare that to any OLD rock group!) Anyone can be a one or two hit wonder. Try after 30 years. If your band don't got 30 years under their belts. Kindly delete your last post.

Personally, if you don't admit arrowsmith. then you are wrong.

There is not one person from the age of 12 to 60 that can't name or at least HUM one arrowsmith tune.

That doesn't make them the best, it makes them the longest lasting. In terms of sales, I believe The Beatles win and Elvis aswell. Elvis wins in terms of medals.

Aerosmith is the longest lasting, but it loses in everything else.

edit: Also, if you count it, Bing Crosby lasted 51 years and sold over 500 million albums.

Charts are only good for pop music. The best death metal band in the world that sells millions of copies will never feature in mainstream charts. Some local popslut that sells a few thousand gets platina and is declared a national heroin.

If you measure the quality of a band by it's chart success then I pity your ears.

I heard of Crimson Falls, don't like em though. Don't really lik grind-, death-, metal-or any other form "core" metal in general. It is true that Crimson Falls is still decent, Moker is far worse imo.

I'm more into Viking, Black, Death, Folk, Industrial, a pinch of Speed, Heavy, Symphonic and "progressive" metal.

My favorite is The Stillborn One because of the jazz drum fills in the middle of a death metal song. It's death-funk.
