Semi-final part II, Ravenlord versus Valerion

Okay, no insta-hits or god-moding. Time of day is Night with a full moon, because Valerion is an alfar AND survived the endless run-on sentences and bad grammar of Lok-tar-ogar.:D Here we go...

A misty fog fills the squar-shaped arena, and the walls around it are ten-feet high and five-feet thick. The floor is made of concrete, with ash covering it completely. Instaed of the four feet long spikes like last time, the walls are covered in a flamable substance. Also, the flamable substance in spread in random areas. ShadowDemen is in his judges seat, waiting for the fireworks, as he still hasn't forgotten what the thief did to him. Signaling to the guards, they open th north and south gates...

[I]Just as valerion entered the arena, he noticed the thief used that flammable powder of his to ignite the walls, obviously he didn

Those alfar eyes of yours seem to handle the brightness well..for now
Kyron thought as he spread his arms, bringing his daggers to his sides in a downward grip..another sarcastic gesture, taunting his opponent to make the first move. He eaven went so far to bow at his opponent with a firendly smile on his face.

Kyron noticed the crossbow in time to react...the only problem was he didn

OOC: just to anyone reading and not knowing what this is Alfar racial weapon
Sithra: These weapons have blades made of a substance resembling compact shadow, which is solid when the blade is held still, but twists and writhes when it is swung. In action, the black sithra resemble a cross between an ordinary sword and a whip.
The sithra sizzles with elemental energy that becomes visible in occasional sparks that shoot off or run along the blade. When a sithra hits, elemental energy shoots from the blade to the point of impact, damaging the target.




Valerion watched as the thief barely avoided the bolt by laying flat on the ground, then he started to charge. The shadow on the rear of valerion pulled out his sithra and so did every other shadow and valerion in sequence, He lashed out his Sithra in a left arc it stretching into the shadowy whip, it hit the pool of flammable liquid in front of him along with the whips of his shadows at the same time, spraying the liquid in the direction of the thief, while the lightning from his sithra ignited the spray of liquid in the air.
“No he wasn’t going to get close to me that easily”

OOC: Could you please explain that illusion of yours..or whatever that little trick with shadows is :)

Kyron knew what was coming as soon as he saw the sithra coming to life.
Digging his heels, into the ground he tired to slow his speed down, before it was too late, and mostly he succeeded at this. Still some of the burning liquid, thrown up by the alfar, ended up on his clothes.

Keeping his eyes on the alfar on the other side of the burning oil puddle, Kyron slaps his leather armor to extinguish the liquid that was destoying it...luckily the processed leather didn

OOC: As far as your Kyron knows, they seem to move on there own but, mimic actions of the others to confuse you. One always seems to act first and the others follow, they are slowly going around valerion in a circle. They are in all directions spreading on the ground, like normal shadows they aren’t walking around, they are still attached to valerion. my post later

Seconds passed and the two fighter just stood there, staring at eachother. Flames rising from the oil puddle raged between them.

Kyron got tired of this game. Suddenly a throwing dagger flew through the fiery wall towards the Alfar. A heartbeat later, the dagger was followed by it

Valerion smiled as the charging thief threw his dagger and charged right behind it,

Kyron was indeed suprised when his daggers met nothing but air as they went through the illusion, followed by the flying thief.
Purely by instinct, he pressed his head against his chest and pulled his hands and legs close to his body, preparing to face the concequences of his foolish action....

None came and this confused the thief eaven further...he had been conviced of his death, because of a mistake like that. What he didn

Missing once, as the thief pulled his body in tightly he barely avoided the end of the sithra. Not giving the thief time to react; in a continual motion, he sent the sithra spiraling towards the landing thief, not only would it cover a wide area it would provide a barrier between them.

[I]Missing again, the thief jumping out of the way, then sending three daggers flying at valerion. Valerion raised his whip in an arc hoping to deflect the daggers; it connected with two the other kept flying and made a long cut along valerions neck as it flew by.

Not giving time to worry about the cut, it didn
