I like the idea of local banks - HOWEVER, i think that a form of it should stay universal
Rare items, like certain types of armor (dragon, infernal...etc) should be local - items like gold, arrows, reagents, mats - items that are not rare, but abundant, available pretty much everywhere, should be universal.
player made items and such rareish items shouldnt be allowed to be universal - becaue they are not something a bank would have on hand at another location, in exchange for your goods 1000m away.
I could, however, see how this would make it so people wouldnt ever leave the starter areas or clan cities. But I think its an element the game should have.
