I heard that the FBI was called in to salvage the MAERSK ship hijacked by Somali pirates, while the SEAL team of US Military was equipped well enough to deal with the crisis. Was it really necessary to involve the FBI or is the world’s best armed forces are incapable?

Obama’s reaction to the hijack of the MAERSK US ship by the Somalia pirates has invited flak. Soon after the hijack, Obama directed the FBI to take over the matter. The FBI hostage negotiators are trained to deal with citizens who go off the deep end; bank robbers and crazies, not military operations. The United States armed forces do not take orders from law enforcement agencies. The Obama administration has been treating the hijack as a law enforcement issue. The military was already authorized to use force against pirates or to free hostage, but were stopped from doing so….for more on the hijack story refer to www.JoyTiz.com and comment on the blogsite.
