Hey guys I'm new. I basicaly wanna know what I should do first.
What is best race?
What is best temps?
When I beging game should I just kill mobs to get to a certain level then begin pvp?
I don't wanna waste time messing about guessing what temps are best.
Any tips would be greatfull thanks!

In high end game play, race doesn’t matter, because your stats will catch up, but most will say go alfar because of the small hit boxes. But that’s only a slight advantage. If you’re worried about alignment, don’t go alfar, they are EVERYWHERE making it really hard to get out of red if you’re alfar.

When you first get in to game do the quests and bank often! You will get killed by random players and goblins allot, so don’t carry much. Once you have about 100 gold buy a second newbie weapon slot and get the staff.

Because you cannot skill up with newbie weapons it doesn’t matter what your melee weapon is as long as you have one. As far as what melee weapon you should fight with? At first use what ever is available, then after a while you’ll be able to choose what works for you. Other than that, dabble in everything. You’re gimping yourself if you’re not proficient in bow, magic, one handed melee with shield and two handed melee.

Other than that JOIN A CLAN!! This is the most important thing of all and where you can hurt yourself the most. Shop around and choose carefully. Find the clan that best fits your play style. And keep taxes in mind as well.

oh, and you can PvP from day 1 if you have friends.

You mean you will pvp from day one even if you don't have friends lol.

I would recommend harvesting like a madman, to be good at 1v1 you need a two hand melee mastery, archery mastery, seventy five lesser magic; and that's just for duels.

and pretty much everyone else beat on afk poeple at a bindstone for their melee mastery so your kindof scewed gl.

another strategy is you can spend 100,000 gold for 100 gm

Ok all that is handy to know. I have heard that polearms give u advantage cause they are longer and got better reach? Is this true.

you can go two hand axe if you want mastery is really what matters....ppl with sword and board mastery and destroy too its the dmg bonus you pretty much can't melee at this point w/o it and it takes days and days of grinding...but yea polearm is pretty much the weapon of choice for na players because of the ping.

you can make polearms at one weaponsmithing so its really easy to make yourself starter polearms.

the saidest thing is here is what you need to do
spend 2 weeks and get

75 swiming
75 mining
75 logging
75 fishing
75 harvesting
75 cooking

next 2 weeks you will spend:

if you sell all your food you should be pretty good for gold

take all you wood and ore (in small amounts becuase you will get ganked in started towns) and refine them to boards and ingots

pick up alcamy or find a TRUSTED friend to make you 50-100 r00 staffs

macro heal and mana missle while swimming out to the middle of noware
do this until 75 lessre magic (you will break about 1 staff per 2 hours so 3 staffs get 6 hours of macro) do thin until 75 lesser magic

pick up mana to stam and stam to health and launch

next 2 weeks

take the rest of you recources and get the bowyer skill or find a bowyer hand have him make you 10k arrows. run into the ocean and fire the arrows off (taking only what you plan to shoot off during the macro) until you hit 75 archery

google or youtube how to exploite mobs and get a friend and start farming

get enough gold for 2-3 suits of scale and 20-50 poition and 20-30 units of good food and 10-20 mounts (always bring 3-4 with you)

You can now pretend to PVP but in all honesty your not going to kill anyone for probably another 3 months until you get your masteries but if you play smart people shouldnt be able to kill you

Lots of fun starting 2 months behind isnt it :D

Or you could enjoy the game, kill goblins for money, and harvest iron ore/wood for arrows. You don't HAVE to grind, but I do =p.

Honestly....you should probably not train any crafting. Just be a harvester and save it all. then get others to craft for you.

Other than maybe bowyer. For arrows.

And just play the game. Whatever you do , you will get better at.

Jake1, are you the reincarnation of jakejakejake?

If so, please join the Murder Herd. Please.

On-topic:

Race isn't all that important, although if Aventurine decide to implement racial abilities then it will be very important, so research before choosing.

It is absolutely crucial that you get a melee weapon for your first weapon slot and a staff for your second slot (100g). Mana missles is basically a form of free damage output so get used to using it.

Make sure you get in the habit of using...

a two-handed weapon,
a one-handed weapon+shield,
a staff, and
a bow.

Those four elements are all necessary for PvP. What you specialize in and how you use them is up to you, but you need to be able to use them all at least at a basic level. Get used to switching between them in combat and focus on understanding what works in each situation. This point is especially important for PvP.

Dont bother with crafting until you've got the hang of basic combat and travel. Crafting relies on gathering and gathering relies on survival. The exception to this, of course, is if you plan to go all-out crafter. If that's the case then you'll still need some basic survival skills.

Important early skills and spells are:

Mana Missile
Stamina-to-Mana
Launch
Knockback (Both melee weapons)
Sprint (Passive skill)
I know I've forgotten at least one more :(

Hope this wall of text helped.
