The best form to upping defense?

hi, guys... that my question... what is the best form to up it? anyone know?

i want to know if i can lvl up with a kind or mob or something

mobs help alot. Leveling defense works best in a situation where you take lots and lots of low damage hits.

Blocking with multiple mobs on you help a lot or having 4 friends beat on you with daggers or 1-h helps even more.

Defense is as bad as Rigor leveling so good luck. I've never exploited and my defense is only 38.

I recently got my Defense to 50 and tested the dmg difference at 49.0 and 50.1. The difference is negligible... only saw a reduction of like 1 pt dmg on average. I kept hearing Defense reflected dmg much better then Rigor/IP but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The amount of damage defense will mitigate is based on the attackers skill vs your defense skill.

Multiple attackers with 0 dagger skill using jadetalons versus defender in expendable metal armor with a healer when necessary and plenty of food.

get a shield and find a spawn with tons of low level mobs, agro them all and let them beat on you while parrying.

Or hit up a wall of pain, heard it's slow gains, average 1 point per 8-10+hrs at around 50. But it's great to do while working all day!

Go to brownies or other mobs that spit those poisons block, youl get rly lots of hits and fast increase

Supposedly both Defense and Reflex take off about 4-5 damage at 100. Much better than Rigor/IP together at 100 which only does 1 no?

As someone has already (correctly) posted - all passive resistance skills (Defense, Reflex, Constitution, Willpower and Fortitude) work on Resist Skill vs. Attack Skill comparison (probably attack skill is substracted from defense skill). So if you have those on 100 you might experience situations, when some noob will be hitting you being naked for i.e. 4 dmg with a polearm...
