Fourth fight, Valerion vs Lok-tar-ogar

Okay, no insta-hits or god-moding. Time of day is mourning. Here we go...


The arena is oval shaped, and ten-foot high and five-feet thick walls surround the arena. The ground is a barren wasteland, with no plants at all. The wind blows the sand around furiously, and a small dust tornado is at the center of the arena. The gates are at the north and south walls. Sitting in his judge's chair, ShadowDemen has a complete view of the arena. He still has burn marks all over his body. Signaling to the guards, the gates open...

being the first one into the arena i came out of the north entrance looked once real quick to the left and right and cast a summon beast spell from my wild magic surona bea holamana it was a scorpian not very powerfull but had very deadly poison i gave it a second to recover some mana and began into the right side of the arena VERY SLOWLY and decided to call upon the strength of leen to guid my claws in battle from the very core of the earth. as i began to cast forsare inda jour.... but before i finished i saw my opponent enter the ring

It was time...he got up and made a silent prayer to Melek.

As he waited for the gates to open, he made one last check of his equipment. His manthe armor was completely black in color and fitted him perfectly the inside was layered with manthe silk for comfort and to keep it tightly against his skin the outer layer was think hardened manthe leather dyed black. He tightened his belt made sure his various pouches were secured tightly, then picked up his quiver and checked his bolts. "Good..." he thought the sap has hardened keeping the powdered mushoom he had prepared yesterday on the tips of each bolt. He loaded a bolt into is crossbow and placed it back on his side, then placed his sword sheathed on his back. The sheath was much smaller then his sword but it was enchanted to keep the blade secure and controlled...

He decided to that his first move would be to cast a spell he knew many darkness spells but for this mahrim he knew he would need to use a very powerful one for it to be effective at all. He knew that while they can not see in total darkness, the light they do pick up can be re-reflected from their eyes to multiply it. There would be no light... no moon, no stars at all until this fight was over.

The human at the gate called as he started to open the gate...

As he walked out into the arena he saw his opponent already standing on the other side. Slow human he would make him pay for taking so long to open the gate and letting his opponent gain this advantage.

He quickly examined the oval shaped arena sand blowing into his face. "A scorpion ? that will do you no good" he said. He decided it was time for his own magic.

Opening one of his pouches he removed a small black candle and held it in his hand. With the other hand he removed a small knife from his belt and sliced his hand. Letting the blood run off on to the wick of the candle it ignited into a black flame emanating darkness. The flame was bluish-black in color growing bigger."Ev vor" he then chanted the required part of the spell and blew out the flame. His breath was not what put out the flame in fact what he was doing was giving part of his soul to the darkness for this powerful spell.

As he held it a beam of darkness projected itself from the candle into the sky, The sky darkened as the penetrating emptiness siphoned the very light of the morning. It was darker then the darkest night. No light, magic or otherwise would work in this void around the arena and no spell could break this darkness.

Valerion laughed to himself and said

the very sky darkened as i finished my incantations on my claws, strength seemed almost to flow threw my body and the night somehow had made my claws grow longer with a milkey white aura around them...... foolish alfar i thought to myself.

he had unwittinglly gave me a advantage being black myself. i started to cast night eyes but to my amazment it barelly helped i know this spell how did a thief muster the mana and means to cast it. it wont matter i thought as i started to cast once again more powerfull this time i grabbed some spiders silk and used my soul charm this time to call upon one of my brethrens souls trapped inside the powerfull ammulet harmid bortil azzure i muttered as i saw a clay golem rise before my feet.

i started to walk slowly backwards behind my minions to cast a wild fire spell as to be rdy for the alfars next move. blade of earth fires of leen

Yes he thought to himself with that sun gone i can see perfectly now he thought to himself. Summoning more minions the fool wont help him when he cannot see me at all. Only an alfar will be able to see in this darkness.

Valerion laughed as the light from the dogs own aura dissipated and made the darkness stronger. walking silently in the sand invisible he lifted his crossbow and aimed very carefully at the left side of alley cat. And shot...

ic: just as i finished my incantations for the wild fire spell i was struck by a aroow nicking my left arm. poison i thought quiclly drinking a poison antadote sending my minions to the driection i felt the arrow hit me as i rushed blindlly into the darkness quicklly casting wildfire near the ground ten feet in front of my minions the fire swirl of green and orange flamewent from my fingertips in a tight spiral.

the light from the wildfire proved more than enoph to find my enemy as i armed a explotion pot and ran twords him......

i stoped right in front of the fire and waited purposfully i waited for him to retire against the wall i threw the potion against the right side of the wall expanding the flames. hes trapped now i thought casting fire eater on both my minions (fire resistance) fir alcoth reaminant. it didnt take much mana but used 4 healing herbs to pull off

i armed my LAST explotion pot and threw it at a spot where the fire seemed weakest. he is trapped now i thought.

just as my minions entered the flameing inferno i started to cast once mroe i thought of my hottest spell unholy fire. i began medatation and once again used my soul amulet....... im getting low on souls heh no matter "death beaux matier" i had a powerfull unholy fire spell at my rdy as i approched the blazing inferno waiting for even a glimpse of my oppenent........

As he was looking toward the flame he saw a small vial arching towards the wall next to him. It hit the wall high and exploded in flame raining down broken fiery pieces of the wall. As I turned and covered my head a part of the wall landed on my back. I rolled and let it fall onto the ground.My arm was on fire some of the liquid must of been on that rock.I quickly put it out but the damage was done my arm wasn't broken good. But it had burned my arm badly.It burned a whole right threw my armor, right to the skin.I quickly pulled out an herb to dull the pain. The smoke was getting thick it was becoming hard to breathe <coughing>.

the minions i sent at him were almost on top of him now. as i waited i saw a arrow fly into the fire where i stood waiting i ran back quicklly but not as quick as i should have as the arrow exploded.

it knocked me to the ground but it didnt really hurt i could fell the poison of the arrow he shoot me with a while ago starting to take effect. i drank a healing potion to regain some life and started to the right side of the fire which almost looked like a half circle of all color flames purple red orange black and blue.

as i moved to the right side i could see me minions looking for him this isnt good i thought as i commanded them both to the right side with me i noticed the clay golem had cought a slight burn on his right hand makeing almost a oozy hot liquid i searched the inside of the flames very closely as i walked faster and faster twords the right wall.

just then i saw a glisening from what looked like a crossbow comeing out of the back wall. i froze sending my minions to him blocking his retreat as i cast my unholy fire at what i saw almost invisable in the wall.

the unholy fire swirled with black flame reaching the very roof itself it was almost more of a explotion than a fire spell as my minions aproched i saw the clay golem fling the hot almost liquidy substance from his right hand.

i sat medatating and chanting once more prepareing another unholy fire....

“Interesting” Valerion thought as the arrow hit the fire and exploded, as the dog hit the ground, "not what I was expecting".

The dog got up and his minions were moving forward looking for me, the golem then turned toward the hole and I saw a bluish spiraling fire heading for me I jumped quickly from the hole and the explosion from the fire hitting the rock and sent my flying a lot further then I normally would of went. I hit the ground hard and lost my breathe, as I was getting up some liquid was flying toward me. I turned away just in time or it would of hit me in the face. It hit my shoulder and splattered onto the side of my neck burning I quickly wiped it off. "That would leave a scar…" I thought as i rubbed the burnt skin.

"Dammed dog where did that come from", then I saw it, the clay golems right hand appeared to be melting, "so thats what that was" it was coming toward me. The scorpion must have been on the other side of the fire still, I was surprised how far the explosion had taken me, but at least it was dark here and the golem was separated from the others.

I quickly ran up the golem pulling my sword from my back, the black shadowy blade of my sithra flowed fluidly like dark water, the elemental lightning was arching across the blade as it came down slicing the golem in two from shoulder to ankle the lightning crackled exploded making a loud sound like thunder and the golem fell to the sand and broke apart. I sheathed the sword and began to look for any sign of the dog "he must be still near the wall".


Then I noticed the north end of the fire where my bolt had hit started to change and was spreading; it took awhile but was finally working. The fire was completely black in color now and was spreading, it no longer gave off heat, or light but was freezing anything that got to close would not find them be burned at all but frozen. It was spreading across the fire slowly changing it.

There was still to much smoke and fire from the explosions, I could not see very well. Opening his pouch a valerion took out another herb and began to chew it dulling the pain from his wounds…

Waiting for any sign of his enemy he walked slowly in the dark toward the dark flames, reloading his crossbow he began searching for the dog trying to see threw the smoke and blowing sand that clouded the air.

i noticed the alfar killing my golem and laughed a little as i walked slowly over to it. i could see the alfar walking away from the smoke and burning and wondered how he managed to get out but no matter i had a unholy fire spell at my rdy and i slowly walked up beside him as i walked closer he stoped and looked around i thought for sure he had seen me but he turned back around and kept walking.

my scorpian was now at my side and i cast the unholyfire i watched as the swirl of black flame swirled around him i couldent see if it hit him or not.

my scorpian scuddled very quickly too him and i began to cast wild fire i only had enouph mana for this last spell i thought as i kept chanting to gain my power. my scorpian moved to him before i could even see the smoke clear i could barely even see him as it was still very dark.

as soon as the spell was rdy i equiped my claws once again and began to rush just a little closer......

I heard something behind me; as soon as I turned I saw that same black spiral of flame coming towards me that he used before. I had just enough time; I raised my crossbow and fired into the rush of spiraling flame coming towards me. The bolt caught fire and was flying straight toward where the fire originated from.

The fire was almost upon me now I braced myself for the impact; I put my hands up blocking my face, It exploded throwing me onto my back and I slid a few feet on the sand, my charred armor smoking hoping it was just armor... I got up and began to trace a symbol in the sand.

i cast the spiral of black fire and from it i saw a bolt flying through it i tried to move but it nicked my ear befor i could get completally out of the way. i saw my fire knock him to the ground and i charged with my scorpian at my side.

just as i was near him i saw a black shadowy figure standing in my way just befor him. i tried a knockdown attack. not a very powerfull attack but it can disable the shadow for the time i needed. it worked the figure was on the ground as i continued to rush at the now very burnt alfar. i saw the alfar rdy for me.

i was running again nowand just in the corner of my eye i saw the scorpian sting the shadow once but did it hurt it it was after all a shadow of ones self. I CLAWED mercylessly again and again not even seeing if i hit him in my blind rage. i could see the buff i put on my claws from before just now starting to wear off but i didnt care after all i was quite quick.

Just as he ran past my shadow I stepped into the symbol I had drew in the sand and I switched places with my shadow, The dog was hitting my shadow with a blind fury. I drew my Sithra from my back and extended it into and whip to strike his left leg. The whip arched and wrapped around his ankle as the elemental lightning raced toward the end of the whip I smiled.

i was at him or what i thought was him but as i got closer i saw him turn BLACK very black i clawed and ripped my way through him but when i delivered a strong stab to the chest knocking him down and death was upon him i saw that it wasnt him but the shadow that i had knocked down b4.

just then i felt a whip around my ankle paniked i turned quickally to him him at my rear next to my pet scorpian. i felt a large ZZAAAPPP!! in my leg and foot and in my paw. it hurt and i had a fair cut i quickally slashed the whip from my leg.

as i turned to attack him i noticed he was very burnt and i belived that i could use this to my advantage. i quickally tried to throw a reagent on him i threw the bag at his face and body knowing that if it touched him it would keep burning him more than he had ever felt before.

i saw my scorpian at his rear and attacked more carefully this time takeing my time with each attack. the poison i could feel corseing through my vains was almost gone now as was the enchant on my ghost claws.

I could still fell the strength of leen upon me as i watched my scorpian attack with deadly accuracy and speed.

As he went to slash at the whip I Pulled it and let it recoil back behind me keeping the scorpion away as I pulled it back toward him, he sprayed some kind of liquid out of a vial at me I blocked most of it with right arm as I brought it up to my face. It burned my arm like fire, No time to think about the pain now I thought.

As he came at me with a right slash of his claw, it caught the edge of my shoulder slicing threw my armor and made a deep gash, I rolled the under his claw causing him to turn on his hurt left foot. Before he could gain his balance for another attack, I quickly lashed my Sithra out along the sand and wrapped it around his legs and pulled up hard knocking him face first into the sand. I pulled my crossbow up from my side and aimed at him, and pulled the lever. Watching the bolt leave my crossbow and lightning traveling down my whip seemed like forever. My shoulder dripping blood and the liquid that had splashed on my neck and arm felt like fire...

as the battle ensuned i struck him once on the right shoulder it looked painfull. that with the liquid from the vial he looked like he was in quite alot of pain.

as soon as he recoiled his whip i went on all four legs to get a better attack from my claws and a very much faster movement. just as i got on all fours i saw him whip around my right front paw. hehe follish alfar it is too late for your tricks i thought. as soon as the whip grabbed my paw i saw him looking VERY intensally at it as i remembered the lightning this was my one chance i thought aiming for his head in a carefull stab.

i shook the whip loose off of my paw very easally as i knew what was comeing that pain that agony. before i got the whip off it did give me a little zap.

ooc:will make it more clear what happened my last post I rolled under your strike right after you hit me getting behind you, I whiped my sithra around your back feet after i got behind you. Then pulled on the whip to make you lose your balance. So i could shoot my crossbow as soon as you fell. read my last post

the alfar rolled behind me in a instant and grabbed my hind legs with a whip even though it hasent happend yet i could already fell the pain surgeing through my legs.

i turned as quick as i could and the whips pain was already on me i could fell the energy rushing but it wasnt as bad as it was last time this time i was expecting it.

i wrapped my ghost claws around the whip trying to pry the whip from my paws it was hard but i managed to wrap the whip around my right ghost claw cousing a deadlock of strength we were locked pulling on each side of the whip.

i tryed as best i could to cut the whip but it was harder than i would have thought it should be. my scorpian moved closer to him as we were in this deadlock/tug-o-war contest i could see its venom already dripping from its stinger as he attacked....
