So I heard some speculation that Godzilla is in fact the personification of the aftermath of the nuclear holocaust inflicted upon the Japanese people.
It is apparently the physical manifestation of all the radiation and shit from Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
Because the Japanese were too beatup to fight anymore, they resorted to using a 400 foot tall radioactive lizard to represent their collective outrage at the USA.

Not quite sure where the karate kicks and the punching fit into this, but they make for some decent comedy.

Have you ever watched a Japanese Godzilla movie?
They are supremely awesome.

I recommend Godzilla vs Megalon, which features a 2v2 tag fight that lasts around 15 minutes. It also includes a flying kick from Godzilla, and a robot that turns into a giant for no apparent reason.
