it all started one day with my friend kaleb at a local tavern and as the drinks flowed we began to talk of our good old days of adventuring and exploring slaying orks as we drank more we began to think of one last trip to the mainland were we once found a cave with trolls and two headed ogers we left quickly cuz we were not as experianced as we are today

maybe it was the ale's mayme we never fueled our lust to kill maybe we were just greedy whatever the reason we decided to get the guild together again on our ship and sail out the next day.

it was on the mainland were i developed my keen necromancy skillz and watter magic and learned to raise flesh golems as well as skealaton warriors and kaleb learned mastery of the bow and magic of spellsinging and of air magic

we set sail the next day at break of dawn we were shocked how much our guild was out campaining against the orks for we only had 6 others with us which were all less of a warrior than the next

we had in all me, kaleb, a dual sword weilding elf named alex a fire magician named tony a new member called will which somehow got his hands on a alfar ilshard a human paladin useing a lightbringer named rob there was a dwarven fighter who used a polearm called max i never did trust the dwarves and i reminded kaleb to keep and eye on him

as we set sail we were drinking and haveing a grand time when u explore a while u learn to travel with ale wiskey and cards as the mornings events drew a little tireing we decided to have a contest of bare fists me being a mage and haveing unarmed skill entered along with kaleb and tony also mages but since we were all mages we decided to have the contest of a close by island in case things got out of control with the ale in us so we drank a little more untill we saw a small island only about 50-75 feet wide by 100 feet long it had several trees and rocks about 15 in all as we approched we decided to make it a mages conflict last one standing but no kill

we arived on the island and split up i went as far away as i could and hid in some trees and it began.i creept slowly around the right side of the island only to find tony attacking a goblin he killed it with a simple fire spike spell realizeing this was my opertunity i raised the corpse into a skeliton attacking tony quicklly with a unholy fire spell. Tony shocked started to attack the skelliton killing it with fire bolt

trying to hurry i steped on a fire spike not noticing IT HURT still trying to hurry i brought him to his knees with a final spell dark matter and quickly healing him after he congradulated me and hurried back to the ship i kept going to the right of the island hopeing to find kaleb when a lightning bolt struck my right arm realising i forgot to heal and he had the drop on me i cast unholy fire once more realising i was out of mana i charged him with bare fists strikeing him once in the face but he subdued me with a simple wind blast
i gave him a well earned props and headed back to the ship for the rest of or long trip when on board me and tony both gave kaleb the bet ammount of 500 gold

once back on the boat and starting to sail we continued the games and the drinking it was midday now and i asked kaleb how long it was untill we reached the mainland he responded about a hour and yelled LEVIATHAN i turned in a daze still drunk to notice what i imagine a lok ness type monster hanging about 35 feet over the watter and towering over our only medium sized boat instantally kaleb shoot it with arrow after arrow as i cast tidal wave on the creature only to find out that it did nothing tony cast fire blast whilemax tried to reach it with his polearm i tried to cast unholy fire once again but failed do to the brew i did see will hit him with his ilshard and max with his pole arm i tried once more to cast unholy fire sucsess this time as we laid the beating continued b4 i knew it it was dead and i had a great idea i cast reanimate and the watter creature we looted it which only consisted of 20 fish scales used for watter magic and 150 gold

we finally reached the island as i dismissed the giant beast we arived on a small fellow elven guild with only a few houses and a guild house on a hill we imediateally headed inland to the cave which wasn't too far away the seven of us all got mounts it took us about 15 mins. to reach the out side of the cave were we noticed a celestial dragon.

as we approched the cave we saw a celestial draggon it haddent seen us yet so tony started to lay fire spikes (mines) as kaleb started to "buff" i started the attack with a ice bolt twice as we hid behind the fire spikes alex went out in front with two swords as a volly of arrows came from kaleb as will went out with the ilshard getting in one good attack before the dragon CRUSHED HIM and hit the fire spikes at the same time the creature howled in pain as i cast a dark matter spell blinding it as it clawed my body ripping through my armor max started wailing on it with his new ilshard i got a full heal from rob the paladin as he started to attack the dragon too.
tony cast a fire lance on rob as i cast a weakness spell on the now mangeld dragon rob beating it again and again with his lightbringer as i cast a tidal wave to finish off the already dying draggon

we skinned and looted the huge beast my share of which was 2500 gold,2 dragon scales,and 5 gems and 1 dragon hide

we proceded into the dungeon it was dark so tony cast a torch light spell to light our way the dungeon was narrow and had several spikes pretruding from the walls and celling we didnt see any enemy's so we thought we would go deeper into the second level

that is when we saw them alfar 3 of them with a deamon cat befor we knew what happened the deamon cat cast a fireball hurting us and the alfar kaleb strike one with a arrow in what looked like his left leg as i poisoned the deamon cat tony placed a fire wall just in front of the us as the alfar charged us with what looked like 1 ilshard and 1 dual weilding numchuks and another in heavy armor and a warhammer the one with the ilshard went through the fire wall and charged at max who also had a ilshard the dual weilder came after me so i switched to 2 claws as fast as i could and blow for blow i wasnt looking good untill alex steped in with dual swords and rob healing and helping in the ilshard fight tony who i barely even saw in the fight was stuck to the ground with roots kaleb striking arow after arow in the deamon cat who was now mauling tony while he couldent move finnally we killed the dual weilding alfar after a flurry of blows i turned my attention to the deamon cat

tony now free was running and trying to heal while the now very hurt from poison cat chased him at his heels as i cast an ice bolt and again killing the evil cati turned to the ilshard fight which to my suprise was already over but max lay dead on the cold damp cave floor

we saved his items from his body to give him later but decided to turn back to town for the rest of the night after all our backbacks were getting full from our ally's and enemy's and we desperatlly needed rest and healing

we returned to the first level of the dungeon and rushed to the exit once outside we found two trolls one of which was a lord as me and tony cast spells alex went after the lord with a blood thirsty battle cry which was insparation for the team

alex dodging and hitting the troll lord as i poisioned and cursed being out of mana me and tony rushed the lord while we leave rob to kill the other i struck it twice right in it's side with both claws as it clubbed me in the side of the head dazed i fell to the ground not knowing what was happening for a minute i rose as quicklly as i could knowing that my ally's need me still dazed i stabed the troll lord in the back kaleb the only one with mana left hit the troll lord with a static charge (a group of weak attacks spread out) the troll lond fell only for a second but a second is all we needed as we stabed and beat the troll lord by the time i was done i turned my sights on the other troll which the paladin rob was haveing some difficulty with it took no time at all with all 5 of us hacking at it

we looted the troll's which were quite good we got two high quality dwarven made clubs one arm bracer and my share of the gold was 98gp we healed and rested outside of the cave keeping watch in 3 hour shifts we were just to worn out to make it back to town. when i awoke the troll body's were still there so i reanimated them both thinking that they could come in very handy later on

we started back into town very slowly as we were still very worn down after our long battles we meet max revived just outside of town he was frantic as we gave him his items we was screaming come to town quick once in town we saw a huge battle of orks and elven's and humans the orks semmed to be winning.....

as i approched the city i saw max he semmed very frantic as we gave him his fallen armor he was YELLING the city the city come quick

as we approched the city we noticed one building burning we ran faster and faster untill we reached the city only to notic that we were thrown into the loseing side of a major battle against 20 ork in a small village the six of us RAN as fast as we could to the only defensive possition in town the guild house we ran to hold them off at the front gates of the guild house and they were already advancing quickly i summoned a flesh golem out of the nearest body i could find and already two orks were upon us kaleb going to the tower in the guildhouse started fireing arrows as fast as he could tony being a fire mage went with him to get a overveiw and to cast fireballs while alex and max helped me hold the front while we had lost rob in the fast battle

the first two orks came out swingin against alex and max and i poisoned one while casting unholy fire on the next my flesh golem stagered slowly farther towreds us but in its mass it lost a good chunk of its side from a passing ridder as it approched i could aldready smell it's stench it was almost unberable if not for the adrenalin flowing thuogh my blood i finally cast unholy fire as max hit the ork with his ilshard the combonation finished him quicklly the other ork was not a problem for two fighters and a mage with unarmed claws he was down in a matter of a seconds with several blows to the head

as i looked for the next target i saw two mages and a fighter in the distance the fighter looked very well versed in combat and one of the necromancers had already three skelletons they noticed us and as i poisoned the fighter one of the mages cast a fireball in the narrow passage of the guild house we could not miss it as it hit max dead on blowing the three of us back THROUGH the guild gates we retaliated with kaleb and tony on the tower they had our backs as tony cast a fireball and kaleb a lightning strike both hit the fighter

there party was scrambled and skelletons destroyed but i noticed a mahirim leader mage join them and cast summon wolf as as they tried to regroup we wouldent give them that time as i also poisoned the new mage and my flesh golem finally reaching them smashed the head of the warrior killing him alex being a dual weilder charged with a heroic battle cry he got struck with a arrow from OUR volly he charged still

max joined him as an entire wave of mahirim came forth our other allyes almost dead retreated to the guildhouse i cast tidal wave on the remaining two mages as max stuck the wolve of the mahirim dead in the left side of his body tony blasting with a firball to the incomeing mahirim wave

as i cursed one of them and got a skelleton as me max and alex tried to get back into the guildhouse for a quick heal and mana potionfor mei left the flesh golem and skelleton warrior as the gate to buy us time kaleb and tony safly on the tower now each had a head count of 3 i saw them approching the gate and cast tidal wave once again and pushed them back and tony had laid some fire spikes knowing this would be a key area i cast unholy fire before i ran out of mana and equiped my CLAWS my flesh golem about to die me max and alex charged the gate once again just as they hit the fire spikes (mines) max killed one in a single blow with his ilshardaas me and alex both hit the next with great accuracy but they were relentless and i got careless i dont know which one did it there were many but before i know it i was bleeding from the head and left leg we charged still one after another with help from the tower i could only see one left at the gate and just as he raised his warhammer to strike me rob the paladin stabed him all the way through the chest i asked him for a quick heal and we advanced more

at the end of the walls the the guildhouse i saw ten or more mahirim mostlly fighters and 2 ork left and only 2 humans and almost dead elf 1 elf left in the feild outside the guildhouse HELP OUR BREATHREN somone shouted as i raised a skelleton archer from the recently slain mahirim the elf in the feild was weilding a kattana in a one on one fight i was the first one to hit his enamy followed by alex with a blow to the left hand dissarming him as max came in with the finishing blow with a cleave to the skull i raised another skelleton archer as we pushed for the remaining ally's the nearest enamy was a mahirim clann cheif with a wicked looking long spear that was bladded on both sides along with what looked like a magical sheild at first glance we sprinted at him from behind we had a slight advantage of first strike max and alex hit him as the leader delivered the final blow to our now only 1 ally we struck first hit in the head followed by another stab to his shoulder he retaliated quickly and stabed max in the right arm hollering in pain he swung violentally at the mahirim with alex i moved on to the next one trying to buy my ally time to get to the guildhouse i took a axe in the back as i clawed my way through to him he was hurt BAD... but i screamed TO THE GUILD NOW and he ran me alex and max buying time and almost getting killed in doing so i managed to take another down with a stab in the neck while my skeleton archers killed a already hurt warior rob was running to join the battle as kaleb blasted another with a chain lightning spell from the tower alex killed one

i couldent belive what happend next they began to retreat but not before we killed two more of them with archers. i didnt argue with it being that half my party was almost dead we made sure that they were gone and droped loot at our ship in the harbour at least three times i noticed that my flesh golem was dead leaveing only a rotten stench behind we looted more than any of us had seen in a battle before i myself got two sets of adamantian platemail and a SET of ghost claws my party in the aftermath talked with the guildmaster to find our that the orks and mahirim had taken the city twice before only to get it back through polatics and payment he thanked us and gave us food and a stay in the guildhouse we all talked and drank

and stocked up the guild house armoury just to find that it was empty or pretty close to it the guildmaster said that with the constant raids they were in need i gave them one of the two sets of platemail i had taken from a body. as we drank more and talked and played games we decided to raid the nearest ork base the guildmaster said that they were very united but there WAS a small outpost just to the southwest of here

lets wait untill dark......

Sometimes an incredibly long thread can daunt readers and they don't finish the story. If you break up the story (and if it's interesting enough), you can keep your readers hanging on for the next update.

I'm writing a story as well, and I'll be posting it in pieces so as to not overwhelm anyone with the entire story at one time.

Oh, I didn't know there were forum rules about that sort of thing. Of course those would supercede any other factors, but just from a writer's perspective, it's not a bad idea to split up stories into different sections.

Its often why writers shift naritives from chapter to chapter, to keep you hanging on for what happens next :)

we prepared to attack and retaliate after the orks and mahirim left but waited for night at the guild leaders request so he could join us we prepared for the up comeing seige with two catapults one balistea and one destroyer that looked more like a tank than a battering ram i poisoned weapons and sent the ship with kaleb to return from our guild with one stone crusher as so we could take over the city and there clanstone we prepared......

the guild that we were in was able to scrape together 21 clan members to fight with us and kaleb brought back 5 with him along with the original 5 and me made 27 27 ppl to attacked a town with 20 in it didnt look very promising. we armed everyone the best we could with what armer we had from the last battle.

night fell and we marched it wasnt very far mambe 5-10 minute walk i and the original 5 and the king of the clan had mounts mine was a raptor i tamed a while ago and brought with me on the ship just in case.

we arrived near the guild hiddin in a thick dense forest just outside of the main gates we waited untill the gates were going to open but for the longest time we thought that they might not. just as we were pre paring the battering ram (destroyer) the gates opened and out came what looked like mahirim mercinaries we can use this said the king WAIT.

the mercinaries 7 in number were arguing with the orks DEMANDING their pay
ork: you'll get your pay when we get THE CITY
mahirim: that wasnt the DEAL
ork: we NEED THAT MINE
mahirim leader:PAY US NOW OR YOU'LL LOSE OUR FAVOR IN THE COUNCIL
ork: HOW DARE U THEATIN ME I WILL HAVE YOUR HEAD MERC
mahirim: ATTACK!!

we watched as the battle ensuned the merc's were soon overthrown NOW! the king yelled max and alex went back to man the catapults as me kaleb, and tony rushed with the kings guild i poisoned the toughest ork i saw and raised a skelleton out of one of the dead mahirim mercs.

once in the city we saw that all the mahirim were not dead but still fighting eachother the mahirim grossely outnumbered were holding there own inside of the guildhouse. BURN IT KALEB YELLED as i cast a unholy fire on a melle fighter not three feet away backup from the kings men soon arived killing three men instantally tony cast firewall at the guildhouse entrance as kaleb tried to start it on fire with burning arrows.

i cast again and again to raise a skelleton from fallen bodies my now three skelletons were marching closer and closer to the lines. i kept casting for a skelleton and a flesh golem as i ran low on mana i raised one more flesh golem and equiped my new ghost claws and ran to my minions who were now on the front lines to fight.

tony kept casting fire wall in the entrance and kaleb cast chain lightning into the front line of orks killing one of them and knocking down two more me and my minions were fighting two melle fighters one of wich was dazed by my flesh golem claping his head between his monsterus hands while the other flesh golem was near death(again)

i clawed angerly at one of the fighters my claws going through him almost too easy as my skeleton scratched his face he was down i turned my attention to the guildhouse and let my minions finish off the other warrior the guildhouse was made of solid rock and setting on a hill tony joined me and cast a fireball straight down to the gates of the guild breaking and splintering the wood i raised a skeleton archer as me tony and kaleb assulted the guildhouse tony lay fire skipes down at the entrance while me and kaleb fought the ork king i cast curse on him while kaleb buffed himselfand struk him with a single arrow in the chest the ork king swung at me and hit me with a spear in the shoulder screaming in pain i broke his spear with my claws and poisoned him

the front lines in the open were atarting to advance in to the city deeper and we were joined with two of the kings footmen and alex who started to attack the ork king without mercy or remorse i myself stabed him once running my claws through his neck killing him and raising his corpse into a flesh golem

alex rushed to fight on chargeing lines as did my golem as keleb cast a chain lightning and tony layed even more fire spikes so as we could fall back a little the fire spikes killed three enamys wil injuring the rest while alex took a solid blow to the arm.

the battle in the feild was slowing as the enamy started to die more and more i fell back into the feild to check on the rest of my minions to find that they were all dead i saw rob the paladin fighting a slmost dead ork i rushed to help but the ork was dead before i got there

HURRY rob to the guildhouse as we were joined by even more men and a qucik healing by rob. me rob and alex advanced into the guildhouse to find only two npc's gaurding the inside i poisoned one that alex was slashing at and charged with my new ghsost claws i went to strike but he blocked my attack with a tower sheild but left himself open to alex's fast and deadly dual attacks he was qucikly subdued and kaleb had helped to kill the other rushing in with a arrow still in his side we waited a moment while rob the paladin healed us of our wounds and i had to take the arrow out of kaleb myself

TO THE ROOF rob shouted we all followed him to the roof of the guildhouse to find that the battle was over and with minimal losses and a victory cry was heard as i regained some of my mana i raised 4 skelleton warriors and 1 archer knowing that the word would soon spread that we had taken the city. we bought a caravan and looted all that it could carry

we burnt down the guildhouse havening looted everything from it after the guildhouse was finished burning it was dawn and we meet with the king.

he thanked us for our help and gave us a single item... a diomend scorpion as tall as me to honor us in our help with the victory we loaded it in the caravan and headed back to the town borlass were our ship was and unloaded everything i gave my share of money from the battle to the 5 others in exchange for the scorpian it was amazingally lifelike for being able to see through it we loaded everything on the lower level's of the boat dock and rested. Never did we need so much rest in our lifes.

as we awoke the next day we decided to go back to the freshlly taken city to speak with the king once again. when we arived we had witnessed a great feast and about 10 new members from our islands to the north.

we found the king in deep need of rest for he had not yet sleept. we had all agreed to have a feast before returning to the cave we hired a few local whores for the king and max while we drank. alex and kaleb drank too much and did not wake up till the next day as for me and rob we ate and prepared for the day to come he helped me kill a few local goblins to get some more skelleton warriors i was now up to 8 warriors 3 archers and 1 flesh golem we went back to town to find that the king had been robbed in his sleep as did max lost his ilshard and kaleb and alex's head hurt BADLY we sobered them up and got max a polearm and we went back to the boat we were split on what to do continue south or go home we continued south as for our boat wasn't full of riches yet.

we had decided to go to back to the cave once more before our trip home we had reached the cave about mid day and began hunting there was nothing special about it so far but it did give me three more skeleton archers we were getting bored with killing weaklings and went into the second level we found two troll lords waiting for us and one ogre mage.

kaleb cast lightning bolt as i cast unholy fire on the ogre mage at the same time the bruttish monster shrugged it off and crushed one of my skelletons they were no match for us though as all my minions advanced and swarmed the two trolls while max and rob went after the mage i then cursed the oger magi so he could not cast.

one troll was killed by tonys fire strike while my minions swarmed the magi seeing my flesh golem bitch slap him with one hand they were quickly taken over and killed we ventured farther into the cave's second level finding nothing of interest for a while except a passage farther down into the caves we took the passage.

It got darker the further down we went it seemed tony cast a torch light spell to help us out while robs lightbringer lead the way. we were walking slowly now mambe with fear that somthing was right around the corner.i was in the front with rob just in case my minions needed to act as meat sheilds for a minute.

we walked and walked starting to walk faster when we saw A whole civilization of alfar........

i took the lead with my minnions and started to march with rob to the third level of the cave when we arived we founf nothing it was quiet.

we thought nothing of it and continued to walk slower now down into the cave while we kept walking we almost heard almost echoes in the now darkining tunnel we started to jog a little untill rob shouted STOP! we all waited

what is it i said i thought i heard somthing like footsteps after a quick glance in both directions after i saw nothing and continued walking untill we crept up on a light around the corner me and rob went to take a quick look what we saw was a ENTIRE CITY of underground alfar it looked like a mine there were alaves there halling off small wagons into a storage building

we went back to tell the others. when we got back tony and kaleb went to look for themselfs as i told max about it when he froze he said dont move in a calm but SERIUS tone as i felt a blade along my neck

you've gotten sloppy said a all too familiar voice it was ki me and ki were in the ritualists guild together but i hadent seen him for about 2 months.

ki: about 20 guards and 14 slaves

what do we do now asked max.

ki: i just got a wonderfull idea we can summon a deamon i havent though since i left the guild
me: WE CAN it only takes two ppl

the summoning only took about two minutes and 5 candels some gog blood and a pinch of moon sugar and we had a lesser deamon at our disposal tony and kaleb almost attacked it when they came back.

we had decided to kill the slaves first they were closer any ways we prepared for the attack kaleb buffed and me and ki wanted so summen another deamon but was out of gog blood so we summoned a dire wolf instead tony laid more fire spiks than i had seen yet while i poisoned kalebs arrows. and ki's dagger

we were waiting for just the right time to attack and as soon as the guards left for change we attacked. my minions and a new deamon rushed at the unaware slaves kaleb and tony killed two as soon as the ambush started while i unholy firerd one arming a weapon max cleaved one right in the hip with his halberd the deamon killed amazingally fast killing one with a single stab of the horns while trampleing another my skelleton archers dilled two as my melle killed 3 not too great for haveing 19 of them.

before we knew it some guards joined the fight all sword and sheild 3 of them so far i thought. tony started to lay even more fire spikes knowing that more guards would come i tozic cloud the first guard to my awww it killed him i did it again to the second not killing but severlly injuring him.

the third was overrun with kalebs archery and skelletons there were about 5 slaves left as i started to raise more melle fighters from both dead guards and slaves i got 3 more before i ran out of mana and put on the claws going to kill the few last slaves with the rest of the party 2 of them being so overwhelmed were already dead byt the time i got there.

i reached the slaves just in time to deliver the final blow to one in the middle i took a set of adamantium chain from him as it would sell for 5k when we got back.

we continued knowing that other guards and slaves nearby but they found us first as two rows of 5 attacked from the left and the right front sides of the group 3 of them went to try and subdue the deamon and 1 each tried to fight the flesh golems as the five on the other side were trying to fight now 11 skeeletons tony cast fire bolt on the same one as kaleb shoot

we the battle ensuned and we were crushing them i wondered were ki went i havent seen him since he told us about the guards before we attacked ow well i thought he is a thife and he can handle himself.

kaleb killed the last guard with little effort and with loses of only 3 skelletons we continued across the other side of the narrow city we saw and killed a few stragglers on our way untill we saw the main mineral mine with perhaps a storehouse. we rushed forward with a slight battle cry.

there were probobly 5 more slaves and around 8-9 warriors i saw ki picking themm off one by one in the back.kaleb fired two shoots in the nearest guard we advanced with the deamon and my minions the archers did very well on the opening attack a volly is effective in numbers i guess.

tony got off a fireball before we got too close the deamon rageing accually took a slaves head OFF in a single blow while i clawed to the left near the deamon alex and rob went to kill of some of the guards. ki still being stelthy was very good at the one hit kills sliceing throughts and with a poison dagger he was even better. tony and i were holding the guards back tony was casting fire spells as i clawed my way to the guards with the deamon who now was trampleing the first guard he saw the archers and melle in the party started to wear them down but at a cost 4 dead melle skelleton's against 2 dead guards.

me and the deamon killed one more as kaleb delivered the final blow to the captin of the guard. max alex and rob managed to kill two real quick and heal before the battle ended by sheer numbers.

ki seeing the last three almost dead just started to loot while the last three were able to kill the deamon's rampage it wasn't easy and they left themself's open to the SWARM.

after the battle i sent kaleb rob and max to town to get a few pack muel's.
me and ki went to the storeroom we had seen before we opened to see a entire ARMY of weapons and armor all adamantium they must have been doing this for some time ki said. we are going to need more pack muel's i said as we yelled for the others who were busy looting the pockets of the fallen guardsmen.

we were in awww once again as we saw ruby's, emerald's, saphire's, diomend's, every valuable gem you can think of there was a fortune of them for each of us.

kaleb and the rest returned with 5 pack muels and we showed them the cash crop of chest's stones gold and a wealth of weapons and armor we begain to loot and kaleb and rob had to go back to town to get more muels. we filled the 5 pack muels with weapons and as much gold as they could carry one we filled with just gold and we filled another with raw adamantium knowing it's worth.

kaleb and rob came back with 10 more muels which was way more than we needed he replied better safe and rich than dumb and broke. we finished filling the muels with the items and loot and gold and EVERYTHING else we could find one item in particular caought my eye.

it was a figure of a undead dragon painted on a scroll the dragon had a symbol of the watcher he can be found in the tribelands.

returning to town we unloaded all our riches and ect... but one item was missing the scrool of the undead dragon i didnt think much of it haveing been so very rich from our last adventure we would ever take.
