In a typically Mirdain fashion, you show a rather laughable concern with aesthetics. All form, all surface, all tragically pointless. Melek tore the heart out of the Mirdain long ago, and yet the lot of you still shamble around, pretending you're not some useless anachronisms long overdue for the mass-grave. Face this saccharine truth, if you dare: the era of the Mirdain ended when Lord Melek, blessed be our Father, decided he'd had enough of your spineless, anemic, limp-wristed ways and raised his fist in bloody-handed defiance.

You're living on borrowed time, Dreamer, and it won't be long before us children of Melek call in the overdue debt. Can you not see the signs? Your increasingly moribund government; the revolts against your seats of power? The secret police that stalk your streets and silence - permanently - all dissidents? All of the cruelty of Melek's divine lordship, and none of the eternal progress spurred on by Melek's omnipotent wisdom. Anchronism: the force that all Mirdain eternally represent. And yet, overlooking that filth-choked lake that your pitiful race fled to in order to avoid annihilation at the hands of us alfar, you keep dreaming away; dreaming that the mirdain are still potent...that Myrthai and Lorathai still watch over you...that you still mean something. Dreaming away on the shores of the Lake of Dreams.

Wake up, Dreamer!

Melek shaped us and marked us out from all other races for one reason and one reason alone - to kill in His sacred name. We are murderers and slayers by birth, and that is precisely how our Father wants it. Whether or not we can recite overwrought poetry about the "splendour" of nature while posing like peacocks in rich silks doesn't enter the equation; bloodshed is our birthright and everything else is a purely tertiary concern.

So keep sneering at our malformed features, prancing little fey-child. We'll just keep stalking through your blackest nightmares, stealing away any prayer you ever had of rest...or peace.

Weakening? Melek's power is forever ascendant, whelp. The Mirdain fear him and his ever-unfolding machinations, and for good reason. His plans may sound wildly improbable to all others...but that is simply because other powers lack the untrammeled genius of Melek. Be it Darkfall or conquest, he will have his way in the end.

Our odds are good anyways - Melek alone of all the gods dares to walk among His children. The rest live in fear and truck with demigods and avatars; Melek needs no such thing. He laughs to scorn all other anemic divinities that must act like inept planar puppetmasters! No, He is with us in both spirit and flesh.

There is no boldness in this. It is a simple matter of analysis. All the other divinities - and their children! - are either missing or have their power bases undermined by opposing forces; Malaut gnaws away at Morgaine's support, Draupnir's sadayel perpetually undermine Azhi Dahaka and his orks, the dwarves have a schism between Ymir's loyalists and Heimar's svartdergir, and the mahirim cannot seem to decide between the Moon-Beast and the worship of Leen and Nieth. The mirdain have to contend with the Ciel Fey factionists, even though Myrthai and Lorathai are long dead - fitting for such a useless pair of gods!

The alfar have no such division; Melek and Melek alone commands the loyalty of our race. His children, while not seamless, are far less fractious than the stupid little sundrinkers that we contend with.

...Which leads us to the matter of "dumb". In the eyes of us alfar, stupidity is the cardinal sin of you surface-dwellers. Why do you think we despise you so? Because the gross majority of you are slack-witted idiots who can't look beyond petty details of no lasting consequence. Idiocy is the second-highest sin in the eyes of the alfar...number one being heresy (or treachery; the two are really one and the same), of course. A stupid alfar is a dead alfar, for as a race we do not suffer fools lightly.

It is a simple matter of time, really. Still, we do so prefer it that you struggle wildly against the inevitable. Resistance makes the kill all the sweeter, you see...
