Mining is surging

I got to 100 mining and it says it is surging. I still seem to get 1 ore or the usual drops. Does surging do anything for me?

It's just a message showing that you reached 100, only spells can do the actual surge after which they drop to 99.0.

melee weapons and archery also get a surge hit at 100 skill.

Almost as epic as S_mining failed when you try to surge rock

It would be cool if a surge while mining would stand a chance to produce one of the rare ores. As a surge is still pretty rare it wouldn't really unbalance things

You get several ore in one swing from a clan mine. Perhaps a surge does actually trigger even more off a mine.

Nope... I have have 100 forever. No you still fail 50% of the time and you always get 1 ore or a Sulfur or a gem or 1 ore and 1 gem or 1 sulfur.

Just makes you fail less when mining.. unlike this post.

Unless you mine at a clan mine. With 100 skill you get 5 sulfer or 5 iron ore or special ores, per hit.

So, come server up storm a clan city, mine as hell and bank it in their own bank when they attack you.
