There are always two camps. One that seeks to control and one that seeks to free itself from control. Usually led is a figurehead with fine leadership skills to agitate the crowds into wanting freedom.
Now the question is, who do you think was the greatest freedom fighter in the past 100 years? I'm going to tip my hat to Ghandi. He spent a considerable amount of his adult life campaigning against the mighty and withering British raj, including his famous and symbolic march to the coast to collect salt. Through his actions, many more were inspired to fight for what they consider was right. Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Lech Walsea, Aung Sang Suu Kyi and the Dalai Lama were to a degree inspired by him, and all of them being called "the Children of Ghandi" by Time Magazine.
What is your opinion on the matter of the greatest freedom fighter in the past 100 years?

He was a fucking legendary inventor, one of the greatest minds to ever live on the earth. He decided between not bankrupting one of the few electric companies at that time others or a billion dollar contract, he took the first option. He also envisioned free electricity for all in the future.
However, I am discussing political freedom fighters.

Simón Bolívar - Closer to two hundred years...
Joan of Arc - OK, closer to 600 years...

Pedobear.
In all seriousness though, the freedom loving team of Ché Guevara and Fidel Castro! Had to be mentioned at least once.
In all supar seriousness, I'm not that enlightened on freedom fighters, so I don't really have a well reasoned out choice. :(

Actually, Lord Fidel is the greatest freedom fighter ever. He fought for his right to say "fuck you, America." And he lives on a small island 90 miles off the coast of Florida for Heaven's sake.

Of all the people in my basement, there is one man who keeps trying to stir up a revolt. Even after I make an example of him, he still tries to give the people back their humanity. I admire his resilience.
