Hey everyone,
Noob question for ya: I've read in a couple places on the forums (don't remember exactly where) that you shouldn't level up with an r0 bow? Is that true, if so, why?
Does the same apply to all weapons?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

As of a few patches ago, you cannot gain skill with any starter weapon (leafblade, dawnstaff, etc.).
Other rank zero weapons, the kind that drop and break, work fine.

I havn't managed to buy the game yet but i've heard that 'noobie' weapons no longer train skills, as you said an 'r0 bow' i am simply guessing that is what they are referring to.
Therefore the reason you shouldn't use it is because it won't train your skill, although i may be wrong here.

Thanks guys, actually despite my noobieness I knew about the starter weapons, such as the leafblade. What I'm wondering is: Do you skill up faster with a higher level weapon? That is, would I gain more points by shooting an r40 bow vs. an r0 bow? Or would I gain the same amount of stats? The reason I'm wondering is, if I were to go out and kill some goblins should I bring a higher level weapon? or would I be safe just bringing a cheap r0 weapon.
Again, thanks for all the help,
E-man
