Any idea if its craftable yet? Has anyone found any of the necessary mats for the making of the sunbow? Theyril ingots , seedwood , etc.... ? Are they all located in Charybdis ?
Thanks for your response.

HAHA. Although I haven't seen seedwood yet, the main problem is getting bowyery mastery high enough :)

Maybe you should start practicing your aim? :P
Anyway, those expensive weapons have really lost their point after the durability got modified...they better fix it sooner or later.

Most expensive crafting things need rethinking. It's stupid to have to pay x amount of gold every time you craft some godly weapon, or armor. It would be better and make more sense to add purchasable recipes or subskills of the craft.

agree the 20000 gold is a litle bit funy for a weapon what can be broken and can be looted from you in the first corner to inpruve the bowyer mastery is fare enoughe:sly:

Maybe it has infinite durability, or repair shards work on them, that would be cool.

20k gold for a rank 100 Lightbringer vs 300 gold for crafting a rank 70 Thunderbolt.
Racial weapons are stupid.

Looted thunderbolts are trash. The difference between looted and crafted thunderbolts is very big, much bigger than normal weapons. The damage rating on a looted one is 0.25, whereas a crafted one can approach 0.40 if made by a good crafter. If I am not mistaken a thunderbolt hits twice using the same damage multiplier, just a different damage type. So 0.1-0.15 is actually a really big deal. Now those are really worth the rank 70 tag. :D

Cheap too. Of course, you're going to need a lot of wisdom to make good ones.

I've had a few hit .414, so depending on how damage scales with enchanting skill and wisdom they can potentially be quite powerful.

They have 1200 durability.
ive seen a few racial weaopns linked in Chat (Light bringer and sunbow).
Unless of course it was all faked - which is possible.

So you're saying someone already made one? Hmmmm... sounds like bs to me. If anyone made one yet , they'd be posting it all over to get popular. But again, some of the mats needed have yet to be found.

They were (obviously) faked. Nobody has the 100 mastery required to make them.
Hell, I would be quite surprised if anyone even has 25 in a crafting mastery.

There are a few with 25 mastery, no one with 50+ yet, though.

I recall seeing one in beta, but that was when you could macro your self to uber crafter in 3 days. Cause resource nodes respawned super fast and were instanced, and you could take your guild of 10 people to 1 node and in the time to suck 1 node down get 500 ore to make into 200 ingots. Oh they were the days.
It was all special and glowly, etc never got to see damage or such though.
either the 20k is a joke. Or I am missing something, cause that is a lot of risk, so it best ahve shit tons of reward. lol

i am sure there is something that it worth it
the real question is where to get seedwood? Ive never seen int from clan timer groves. Most of the ppl pulling on it are 100logging.

I've yet to see it drop yet either. Though Seedwood is in-game, at least the model for it is. So that's a good sign. ;)

I'm not trying to spread rumors, just find clarification.
I was told that if you created a racial weapon at a guild workshop/smith or whatever, that you do not have to pay the gold cost. Is this true?
Any info is greatly appreciated?

That is incorrect, gold cost does not change based on the crafting station in use.
At 20k gold this thing better hit so hard that it kills you, bans you from DF, and renews your WoW subscription.

lol, 20k after a while will end up being more common place, problem is we all suck as combatant still.
Also its one of those why where super infernal armor and be all decked out in uber gear then use a sucky ass weapon. lol

Er, there's many people with 100 weapon skill and almost max mastery.

Durability is fine. What they should do is to add a skill that makes you repair your shit with the relevant crafting skill for a cost maybe.
Like if you have bowyer, you should get a skill at maybe 75 to repair bows.

Uhhh no there isn't. It's not feasible at this point in time to get 100.0, not because there is a limitation but because there hasn't been enough time since the game's release to do so unless they had a clan fund every bit of it and had people taking turns clicking the craft button. Takes over 2.0 million gold to max a mastery skill, and at minimum 6 days of pure crafting. I don't imagine people have wasted their time maxing a weaponsmithing mastery before they decided to max out their city, and there isn't a completely maxed out city yet.
Show me proof rather than rhetoric.

I believe he was talking about weapon mastery as in the combat skill. Like Greatsword Mastery.
