When playing any game while listening to music, I listen to what I happen to feel like listening to..
It doesn't metter if I'm PvPing or PvEing, in gaming you don't need some uberz0mgomgpwnages00perd00p3r boost of strenght.

There is a saying:

"The calm warriors are heroes. The raging warriors are called the Casualties."

this comes into play when it is about modern warfare and computer gaming. You cannot boost the performance of your character by beating the shit outta yer keyboard.. Calm and controlled way is the one to go if you're looking for pure pwnage in PvP :)

I haven't really PvPed much at all recently, but the only game I play atm is World of Warcraft, so I've mainly been raiding, which means I've only been listening to the in-game voice chat and Ventrilo :P

I usually have my music turned low when I am group PVPing, so that it is just in the background and I can still hear the sounds of the game. Solo, It's always full blast. Techno is good for getting in the mood, but I have a lot of metal in my playlist too.
