Mana missile + roof to beat every mob in this game, thats the way to go!
Give mobs some spell that pulls player or launches mob to player if there is no path to players location.

i use houses all the time, i am 100% sure they already knew this would happen, and i am still kinda having trouble killing some mobs like goblins, even on roofs


i say ever thing is ok here, nothing needs fixing, its perfect how it is :D

Some already do, Shadow Knights for example use a kind of sieze which pulls you towards them, gets you off buildings but it's still easy to just get back up and avoid it.

You're an idiot. I can solo any mob in the game by jump-launch + bow/magic. This is not "advanced mob AI" or "nightmare Quake bots" (beta tester first impressions) or even remotely challenging. It's a simple test of player vs. boredom.

ok there is a problem here. the monsters them selfs are uneffected by launch. also do you think the monsters would use launch for them selfs? they will try to cast it on you. so EPIC FAIL!

Are just a stupid or what? Point was that give them launch-like ability (make some cool animation and teleport fe.) so mobs could actually fight against players using roofs to kill mobs.

Oh wait, I did jsut feed the troll :(

This is a pvp game, please ffs pve should be retarded simple. I am so sick of seeing naked asshats with nothing to lose because they are too scared to leave their care-bear cities with their best gear cause it took them 100 years to get their full set of plate from mobs...

If I drop all my shit, so should mobs.

PVE is simple, go next to mob , beat it and get hit by mob.
This is about mana-missile on roof- tactic.

implement a long-range knockback. give it to anything (players included) that uses bows. bows already knockback as things are now, so just give them a skill to make it more potent.

give caster mobs some other way of dealing with this. maybe just have them hold their spell ready to fire until you pop your head out to shoot them. for that matter, have archer mobs to the same. they already check for line of sight before casting in my experience; now make them check again before firing the spell.

if you noticed all the abilitys that the monsters have you can have? so i am guessing your saying that they are going to give us a new ability so that monsters can find it easyer to get ontop of stuff?

well they should mabe give the mobs only a billion health each instead of the trillion they have now. That might even things up if mobs can pulll us out our trees.

It's related because, at the moment with the risk vs reward mobs are fine... if you're going to improve monster AI, then ffs improve the risk, vs reward. Monsters have too much health, deal too much damage and have fantastic damage reduction AND AUTO AIM... if the ai was better then AV would not have to have settled for that pathetic way of improving their mobs.

deathless mages have a launch that can fuck you up bad. but it doesnt take long learn how to avoid it.

Very good idea, but it needs to be implemented well.

You're right, it's a shame that although the mobs have quite creative AI, they're still limited to charging into melee attacks or spamming ranged attacks.

On that note, make mobs with a delay on the melee attack direction. Currently if you go to melee with a mob, it will hit you no matter what, but against players, you can dodge and joust.

If it's a mob with daggers, all you have to do is walk backwards and keep swinging, they will miss 90% of the attacks as they walk towards you.

Some mobs have come hitler and it funny when they use it agaist u cause u fly 2wards them
