Seen others with decently high reflex, but they said its broken. Has anyone capped this out yet and or what can you buy for it at a higher level? Im only at 21 and havent seen any change in my Player Stat thing, was wondering what this even did.

It gives the character an inherent damage resistance the higher you get it. Once you get it to a certain skill level, you can then purchase Ignore Pain which also does the same thing, but builds up further resistance than Reflex allows.

How people say it's broken, I don't know.

Relex works like ignore pain but for only spell dmg, but the amount of dmg it lessens is kinda useless.

That's rigor.

Reflex reduces spell damage by about one point per 25 ranks, meaning it's pretty useless against any decent spells.

After tower fix no one will skill up Reflex anymore - why? For 4% damage reduction?

Yea, I usually sit in my personal house ingame, while having a NPC that I hired to farm stuff for me and guard my area.
This is to stop the mobs from sieging my house, and wander in my area.

You see my point?

Not 4%, 4 points.

That's a good deal less than 4% in most cases.

Forget about whether Reflex is worth it or not for the moment, if the spell cast was 100 dmg then 4% is in fact 4 dmg.

If the spell cast is 50 dmg, then 4 dmg is in fact 8%.

If the spell cast is 25 dmg, then 4 dmg is infact 16%.

I would say in most cases right now a spell with dmg of maximum 50 is more likely in which case 4 points is actually a good deal more than 4%.

Of course Reflex might actually be a % reduction rather than a flat reduction - no idea on that one.

There is also a skill you can buy when archery and reflex are at 90, called "Nimble" I think. Can't remember off hand what it does or even if it works :)

It's flat - reduces my icicle damage by the same amount mana missile is lessened. As for my failure at math... I was in a hurry :p

Nimble raises the DEX cap.

Well the piece we are missing is do stats + skill make a difference. IE does having like 60 int make 50 reflex protect more.

Also does reflex modify the bonus from ward based buffs, does it change your resist you get when wearing armor. Most people havent looked into these pieces.

Nimble raises the DEX cap.

Thanks for that info :) flat dmg means its actually worthwhile then with the typical spell dmg you might encounter.

No problem on the maths, we all have our moments ;)

So, nimble raises the dex cap, shame there are very few dex increasers to take advantage, I know as reflex so does dex by a small amount and archery increases dex, sprint is meant to but at such a small rate its not noticeable. or do you mean nimble adds dex like perservance adds stamina?

I mean Nimble raises the Dex cap like Clever does for int. This is speculation, but I think stats cap out at 75.0 without the "increases xxx cap" skill, and the skill then allows the final 25 ranks.

so, how we can increase "Reflex" skill?
someone says that Mana Missle on self do it, but its arcane dmg so i don't think it does.
Then there is "Ball Lightning" spell that should incrase it, but i haven't req for that.

Which others spells incrase reflex?
Which mobs do dmg that increase it?

think end game everything counts stupid rtard

Think, before you think about endgame.

Dude, if the damage reduction is not worth it now, how will it be worth it at 'end game'?

And for that matter, wtf is 'end game' in DF? How does the game actually change? Becase as far as I have seen, gameplay is the same now as it was on launch day, minus the bugs.
