The new patch nullifies all skillgain using conscript weapons, right?
will this actually make demand for crafted low-rank weapons? or what do you think, you could actually sell the "skill-up" weapons and staffs?

Indeed. People actually buy crafted gear now. Obviously the lower tiered weapons are not being sold for huge profits, but it's still better than the old NPC-price. :)

Most people just spent 500g and got lowbie weaponsmithing - it did not create the market they hoped.

Most but not everybody. I for one am going to support our clan smiths to get some sparring weapons much rather than get a lowlevel weaponsmith skill for myself.

Well, there are a few R0 weapons needed to get 10+ weapon skill, so for non-crafting characters it is still the most viable choice to buy the R0ers instead going for weaponsmithing skill. Same goes for staves. I observe much increased demand in both markets (though being a dedictated bowyer I sell the R0ers at cost of making if bulk).

I've sold close to 100 r0 weapons since the patch. Prior to the patch, I had sold 3.

my wand factory has kicked off since patch, my guild mates weaponsmithing is still the same. Similar with bows. Weapons are too easy to come by from mobs.
Wands arent much harder but.... my crafted wands can have as much as 2 more durability, you know for those times when you might be away while the game plays itself. :)

Agreed. Plus, being able to craft r0's with 40+ extra durability and nearly r20 stats makes them worth the small amount of gold per item from a good crafter.
