Highest Damage-per-Whirlwind

Does anyone know what the highest Damage-per-whirlwind weapon is? I'm guessing it's Polearm, but was wondering if anyone had any data on this when plate/scale/banded comes into the picture- With 2h Hammer Bludgeoning and rumor of damage modifiers to axe skills.

Can anyone confirm what does the most damage per whirlwind attack?

Whirlwind does base weapon damage to an aoe... if that helps.

I'm still not sure what skilling it up actually does, and i have 60 skill. Maybe reduces reuse cooldown? /shrug

60 weaponskill or 60 whirlwind? :o

I have 30 whirl and it felt like dmg would go up at least a little bit imo. But cant say for sure.

I have 28 whirlwind and I do anywhere from base +2 or + 6 damage.
