Taming

Just a couple of questions i need answered please. :D

1. I am a human who is going to take the Taming skill. Will i only be limited too making horses or is there a way i can make the dwarf and mirdain mount?

2. I have 2 steedgrass and they are easy to get, i also know you need a tamers whistle and the taming ability. These are the 3 things you need to make a mount... But how do you actually use them??? :confused:

Mounts are race specific so no only your racial mount will be craftable

use the whistle in your inventory have the grass on you. 1 grass 1 mount no exceptions even on fails you wont lose the grass.

I would like to get some other racial mounts but im alfar and no many other races like to trade all that much with us. ARC have a better tendency to trade all the different mounts.

So you can be in the middle of the town and do it and all that happens is a figurine appears in your bag? nothing special? or do you actually summon the mount infront of you and have to climb upon it?

Mount appears in your bag. Just do it at the bank and you should be fine. When you use the figurine, the mount will appear at your target then you get on with the f key. Note, anyone can nick your mount if its spawned and you are not on it. You have to be unarmed and standing still to mount it (i lost a mount like this =P)

Oh and anyone can (and will) kill your mount in town without penalty, even if you are on it. Dont ride it in town.

On a side note, do you actually gain any benefit from having a higher taming skill? Like a newer mount and 25, 50, 75 etc?

Yes... you can do it in the middle of town..figurine will appear in your bag. But, your character animates while crafting..so people can tell you are doing it. Most stand right next to the bank. BTW..buy the whistle at the Merchant.

Just dubble click the whistle to get the craft window. If that's what you mean.

is there skill associated with taming? If so.. what does having a higher skill do for you?

Raising Taming skill does nothing. I think mounts should have a hp system so the higher your taming skill the more hp it has.

The more you have in taming, the better your mount is.
