As my nephew would simplify the question
"How do I make big stuff"!?
I am looking for information regarding the path to construction skills.
As an example I noticed that one of the things a weaponsmith can make is a seige hammer. With that I assume maybe another craft makes something else releated to construction.
Also various lists of things that can be built without owning a city such as a raft and who makes a raft and is it even a construction skill. Etc.
thanks!
resources and links would be great btw.
just be careful what you say about the the link AV might consider it advertising.....bla!

The construction skill is used to make modules which are used to build buildings for cities and hamlets. It's also used to make repair shards to repair damaged buildings. Siege hammers are made by weapon smiths. There are other skills to build big items like ships, warhulks, and the like, but you need to find a T2 smithy to buy the skill and they all cost 15k.

Although that is helpful what I am hoping to find is what might be a "definitive guide" to all things built big in DF.
Does that question make sense? Ironically a different related question I was looking for abstractions, this time I am looking for extreemly crazy details
But what you replyed was helpful...thanks

If you dont mind I would like to take a direct copy of that and put it into our guild wiki.
Any information about what a workbench, shipyard, harbour, mine and building block in is this game?
your post is helpful and it will help build my overall knowedge base, I am just looking for as much info as I can get.

T2 smithies or Advanced Blacksmiths how they are called in game, are sometimes to find in player towns. Just if they had upgraded their smithy or not to T2.
The skills to get there is Artillery, Shipbuilding and Warhulks. Each is 15k to buy.
You need always rare ores to craft these kind of things anyway. Wich limits it use mainly to clans until more rare ores are available. Wich won't happen any time soon.
The Golem spawns (Selenite golems etc.) will be soon very crowded. Since skinning them is the only way to get hold on rare ore for everyone who don't got a clan mine. (2000 ore , chance to drop rare ores if 100 mining 100 mastery)
