So I know to get to 100 in armorsmithing everyone did chain pants for a quick grind, but what did the weaponsmithers make to get to 100 or any particular increment of 25? if you got numbers lets share some people.

Spiked clubs from 0-100 mostly. It's around 1700 crafts to hit 100.

Are those clubs better than gobbo axes because ive been doing those :/

They're better in the fact that they use 3 wood to 1 iron, where as goblin axes are 2:2. Wood is generally easier to obtain than iron (and less expensive), which is why I used spiked clubs.

Made spiked clubs almost exclusively.
25: 39 successes
50: 231 successes
75: 762 successes
100: 1773 successes

have you been leveling mastery at all?

lol
1773 successes if we assume with an 80% success rate means roughly...
(1773 / 100) * 120 = 2127 (to account for 20% failures)
(2127 * 10) / 60 = 355 minutes or 5.9 hours (near as damnit 6 hours)
So you spent roughly 6 hours clicking a button every 10 seconds?
Obviously this doesn't take into account the fact your chance of success goes up but it also doesn't take into account the fact you have to go back and forth from the bank for resources.
Also doesn't take into account getting the resources which would take (if you gathered yourself) atleast 32.5 seconds to get a single ingot/wood * 4 multiplied by 2127 0_o
76.8 hours (lets say 77) to get that much resources at least.
:lmao:
:lmao:
and people try to defend the crafting system.
EDIT: obviously all these times are just the "guaranteed length" times i.e for cutting wood/smelting ore. So the real life time would be a lot longer to account for running to nodes etc.
(Also, I know people dont gather themselves it's just a funny thought that you're using 77 hours cumulatively (whether yours or someone elses)).

Shit... you think thats bad ^^. I'm not defending since i haven't played the game yet, but sounds much nicer than what i went through on my 4 alts in WoW. The best part was... other than enchanting WoW's craftables were laughable. Not sure how the craftables will really be here.. hopefully amazing and random when its all said and done.

one minor problem in your formula there tho. It takes 20 secs on a combine for weaponsmithing not 10.

Oh yeah lol, just double it then :D (I rarely make weapons myself).

Ehh you guys are aware that 100 skill is not even enough to make rank 40 weapons?
You need the 10.000 g mastery first to do that.
And then the REAL fun starts.
25 mastery rank 50, 50? mastery rank 60, 75? mastery rank 70 , 100? mastery rank 80. What's with rank 90 and 100 ever thought ?
Similar with armor smithy. 100 skill 1 mastery = Full plate BUT a set need 11 veilron ingots.
25? (could be also 50)mastery = inferno armor but rare ingots and drops 50?(could be also 100) mastery Dragon armor rare ingots and dragon ! scales.
See where the fun starts ?
Beside to craft a Dragon chest alone you've to pay almost 3k gold. Some weapons 10k or even 20k for the racials i think

I wouldnt do goblin axes anymore. spiked clubs are 3 wood 1 ingot. So its easier for me to harvest a shit ton of wood and a little ore to get the same results if I were crafting goblin axes.

Uh, yeah.
If some want to grind a craft to max it more quickly than those of us that only craft what we need to use and sell, let them. I'm having fun doing it the slow way, which allows me more varied activities during my time in, and those that are grinding it should definitely have to pay the time to do so.

Sadly i'm a weaponsmith too (only 39 until now), but i do only spiked clubs because any weapon i can craft is totally useless and have no market. My char use 1h swords, and my crafted weapons do almost the same damage as goblin swords...:(

Simply added an extra 20 to account for 20% fails, this fails how?
multiply by 1.25 maybe ?
2127*0.8=1702
2216*0.8=1773

You need to learn logic.
I was counting the times they try not the times it succeeds.
and he said he had that many successes which means to get that many successes you need to add 20% more to the amount of tries.
