I just got the crafting skill to make arrows and bows last night. I briefly looked at the materials required to make a bow and some arrows last night and then I logged.

My question is about the arrows. I am hoping the recipe for arrows makes more then 1 arrow for 1 wood and 1 ignot.

Is it just one arrow or more? If so, how many?

thanks in advance!

You make twenty arrows with one ingot and one wood.

Oh wow. Sweet.

not so fast...

true 1 wood + 1 iron ingot = 20 arrows

BUT it also takes 20 seconds .. not the normal 10 for mining/logging...

Basically you can output about 3.6k arrows every hour. That's with a 100% success rate and just clicking every 20 seconds..

It's like watching paint dry, but without the excitement.

I'm not kidding, I spent a week harvesting and making them.

I actually looked forward to sleeping and working...

But comparing ingots to the market price of what, 8 to 10 gold each, isnt it more profitable to sell the ingots?
Since arrows are under a maximum price because of NPC vendors.

The vendor price for arrows is 2g each, so at the moment thats not holding the prices down...

At best you can come out even or slightly above for arrows. It's not too bad.

Right now I make my own arrows and no it is not cost effective. But I do have the highest HP/STM/Mana pools in my clan. I know some ones got morew than me but

Remember to sell your arrows at 1g each or more...

5 ore = 2 ingot (Ore = 3g each x 5 = 15g)
5 timber = 2 wood (Wood = 2g each x5 = 10g)

12.5g worth of mats = 20 Arrows

10 seconds Ingot crafting
10 seconds Wood crafting
20 seconds Arrows crafting
+Time to run back and forth between the bank, the workbench and the smelter.

Sell them for 0.8g / each (Some people do) you get 16g making a 3.5g added value on each batch of 20.
Such a small profit margin doesn't pay for your time.
Sell them for 1g / each (I do) you get 20g making 7.5g added value on each batch of 20.

Arrow prices are too cheap at 0.8g/each it needs to be higher and it will when crafters realise they're getting the short stick of the deal.

lmfao

It's funny when a mod himself comes in a thread admitting the skill/farming mechanics of the game are tedious.

He's a volunteer and plays the game just like any other person...
