View Full Version : Seize skill, 1H sword

The seize skill for 1H sword is just useless...
It's hugging range and pulls the target closer where he can't get any closer.
I've tried the skill alot and I rarely even move the target an in-game centimeter.

On mount the skill just doesn't work at all.

Seems like a waste of money to me, I just hope they'll fix the skill.
Anyone else got better results with maybe another weapon?

Totally agree'd, did some testing yesterday, both on mount, and were standing toe to toe, my buddy tried using his Seize skill on me ( which obviously would be a certain hit ) yet had no effect... ( did not even do damage.. ) this seriously needs a fix, what a waste of 300 gold, knockback is better in any way in my opinion...

There is even a seize skill for knives which is the most useless of all :eek:

It is useless and it has been the exact same thing through the whole beta. What I guess they failed to realize is that if you are close enough to someone to hit with it, you don't need to be any closer.

If you strafe past him while hitting with sieze, he will slide past you.

You cant hit with sieze, knockback or power attack while you're on a mount.

seize is hard to use but has some advantages.
You need to walk back or strafe in the moment the hit lands.
Doing so the target will follow you until it touches you.
I still dont see any use of the skill in PVP unless you are a twitch machine but its pretty nasty when you want to fuck around with people.

seize is good when you use it well. I do a lot of hits in the back thanks to seize.

I only use it to pull afk macroes off the walls and kill them.
Imo they should lower its cost a lot, make it like 50 gold. And add a new skill too that does something else. Like a small movement imparing effect.

just give seige a duration of 10 seconds, so if you hit someone with seize they are stuck to you for the duration. Would help short range weapons become more viable as well.

Yes you can. My character did the stabby knockback animation when it was sat on my mount. Try it.

I can't believe people who are capable of developing a mmo are not capable of realizing something like that. They'll probably fix it...eventually.

they should give sieze a small chance to prevent movement for 2 seconds.

It should be like Scorpion from Mortal Kombat and your character yells "Get over here!" and throws their weapon with a rope on it to impale the victim and drag them back. 15 yard range sounds nice.

it should draw the opponent you are aiming at whilst executing the attack closer to you, upto a range of say 2, 3 meters. No idea what that is in your yards, do the math

seize should just make the person stick to you for like 2-4 seconds, depending on your skill level. in that time you cant swing your wep or it breaks the sticking effect. great to let your mates get hits on people.

long cooldown so people dont spam it for easy ganks.

Basicaly, you dont need to be in range of enemy to hit him - just your weapon ranges should cross. Then, when enemy hits, you quicly hit seize. and you damage him while his hit is count as parried.

agree but then it must be conect somehow with parry skill and reseize must inpruve parry as well

Totally agree. A polearm is so effective in this game because you can't stay within its arc as you would in reality once someones range.
