I would like to know this as well. Has anyone tested their attack speed at stock quickness when they first started to now?

It speeds up archery attack speed, thats all.
EDIT: it's supposed to, not positive if it does.

yes, it works. Got 38 quickness and im hitting slower with my 2h compared to my friend who got 58 and he got less skill in 2h sword.
More skill you got , more you benefit from quickness and str.

Huh? You sure? The description says absolutely nothing about melee attack speed, archery only.

Yes I'm sure, yes it does says "increases slighlty melee and archery speed".
And yes, i've tested it with other weapons too.

I'm positive it doesn't. I'm at 60 quickness, and when we are training up weapon skills with guildies, brand new characters are swinging their starter polearms just as often as I am.

a guess way testing it would be taking two people, one with 50+ quickness and one with 20 and make them count hits/10minutes with a macro. maybe someone is bored and wanna do it lol.

Nope, it says "melee". Anyway, you can say whatever you want, for me, it increases my melee speed.

No, it doesn't. Decription says melee and archery speed, no difference for me though. Got it up in the 40s.

Me and friend tried with greatclubs, both had 0 skill. He had 20 more quickness and he did hit faster. And we have sparred for 8h now, we have tested it many times -.-'

I have noticed a marked difference as well. My quickness is in the 50s. 2-handed sword swings about every 1100ms or so.

You'll notice the speed increase at 25/50/75/100 just like the other skills, I cannot comfirm the 75/100, but An Ork in my clan had a Greatsword, and a Mahirim had one as well, and the Ork swung slower surely enough, I have 50 quickness, and I was swinging faster that the other Mahirim.
Ponder it, test it yourself, and report back, these are just my impressions, and what I personally have seen.

Sorry Kaupp,
I'm an idiot. I swear I looked at the stats multiple times and it said archery range. I must be blind.

:) You should have double checked one last time before you posted what you were so sure of
On another note, I would like to see more feedback, anyone who's tested this as I have, please keep this thread alive.

What we have found out is that somewhere between 80-85 skill your weapon gets some megaboost to swingspeed, try it out when you reach that level.

Interesting, i have about 45 quick and 48 2h skill and I'm swinging for about ~1.24 secs. What lvl is your 2h skill? That might be a factor as well since the some people on commenting on speed boost from skill progression.
As for those claiming they have tested this, did you use a macro to auto attack? I don't think you can be thoroughly positive from hand testing some thing like this since you won't always actually left click at the exact moment the weapon couches back to your side.

Yep, 0.1s macro.

I have 50 quickness and don't really notice a difference other than my stamina max raising.

67.3 is my greatsword skill. I used a macro to click at even intervals. 1100 ms seemed about as fast as I could attack.

I do believe it does effect the speed. I use to swing my 1h sword every 600ms with my macro but now I can set my macro to swing every 500ms. My quickness is 52.

no proof of increased attack speed tho, and knowing aventurine, it is probably 'coming soon'

wahhh, i see.. So both our quickness is in the 50's. My greatsword skill is in low 50's and yours is high 60's, with a .14~ difference in atk spd. I guess this rules out Quickness actually effecting melee spd and weapon skill having some effect.
Quickness actually improves your mellee attack speed (proved) and archery (I believe so but did not experienced it so far)
I have 55.x quickness, my friend, who does spell chanting, buffed me with the quickness buff +~20 which made me go up to 70~ quickness and I was swinging my polearm WAY faster. So fast that the simple animation was seemingly faster.
Definitely increases melee speed. If you want to test it have someone buff your quickness =P

Buffed quickness doesn't seem to make a diff for me. I have 65 Quick and had a guildie buff me to 84. I tried to lower the delay in my auto atk macro and it wasn't swinging any faster then it was when my Quick was at 65.

its a small difference that you wouldnt notice unless you actually compared them. It really does make attacks faster tho, ztyx experimented with it

Experimented with this today with my 2 characters, my character with 70 quickness swings noticeably more often then my character with 30. It's not a huge difference, probably 200ms at most.

As a spellchanter I use Hymn of Swiftness and it seems to make people attack faster.
It may be wishful thinking but it seems to work.

200ms faster... You using a polearm? Still seems like a big difference in effect. Granted much of that is wasted unless your hitting a target standing still.
