i don't remember exactly but around abouts 6-8k arrows? hitting mobs seems to help quite a bit, and no it doesn't gradually increase it jumps from 25 50 75 and 100 just like everything else in this game seems to.

It takes me 45 arrows to get .1 skill hitting a mob at 54.0.

450 arrows got me to 55.


It it stayed exactly at this rate till 100 it would take an additional 20k arrows.

If it grew at 10% per 1.0 it would then start to jump into the 50-100k range

Not 100% sure how many arrows i've used but it would be close to 15k from level 30 to 80. (that being said i havn't been shooting at anything)

then shoot 10 arrows in the air. link and write down

then shoot 10 mobs of moderate to difficult level. link and write down


Do that then tell me you hitting mobs made ANY appreciable differance.

it takes 1k arrows to level 1.0 past 75. i'd assume (because everything else in the game is half assed) that it takes maybe 500 for 1.0 above 50, and so on. i've done extensive testing, shot 15.7k arrows at skill 76.2, and am now at 91.9, 15.7 points.

edit: these numbers are exact, exactly 15,700 arrows, exactly 15.7 skill.

ok if this helps I have been recording my arrows shot from the moment i hit 50 and will continue till 75,but atm my archery skill is 62.7 and it has cost 5,580 arrows +/- 100 arrows to get that 12.7 points so yes im saying 15k to get to 91 is impossible

Iam quiet sure the ammount of arrows required depends on the skill level you have.

Therefor the skill level becomes a variable ~

Example;

Lvl 10, 10 to 20 arrows to gain 0.1
Lvl 30, 30 to 40 arrows to gain 0.1
LVl 50, 50 to 60 arrows to gain 0.1

Currently 75+, and it requires aprox 750 arrows to gain a full 1.0.

So you will probably have to harvest around 6k ore/timber to get from 0-100?

Thats around 45k arrows by my maths(If you times by 0.95 to include fails)

Hm.. Maybe the dmg u deal give bonus to xp?
Since someone says u get less xp from shotting nothing, might be cuz u dont do any dmg.

4k-5k to 50. Using r40 bows at 40 seemed to skill up faster than r10 (seemed to means nothing, I know, so might be my imagination).

Its not to hard compared to other skills. I can harvest for a day and have 8-10k arrows by the next. I've tested my skillups hitting mobs and hitting walls and the skillup is EXACTLY the same so people that claim otherwise are doing so based on assumption.

My only issue is keeping the arrows to skillup on.....running at a 60 archery and got lazy and now 2 of my clannies hit 75...jealous!

This is my new focus to have 75 by sunday.

Just shooting in the air, tested this with 2k arrows, it stays absolutely constant.
took piles of 50 arrows each and skillgain always kept the pattern of .1 with the first stack and .2 with the second during like 2 hours testing.

Wrong, it takes 15k arrows to get from 55-75 and I am guessing you are below 55 atm since you lvl so fast
