In UO to gain some fast stats you could equip any weapon or do any 0.0 skill to gain some quick stats off the fast gains. However at higher levels the stat gains slowed as the skill gains slowed.

Is the same true of darkfall? I've heard that swimming will still raise your stats eveen after gm. Does this mean stats raise based on the use of the ability rather than the skill gain?

Im curious because I was considering raising every weapon skill to 25 for stat gains and I'm wondering if I should just stick with the weapon i've been using instead for stats.

you gain stats by using the skill not by skilling up.

Tbh i have notived that skill points mean very very little Most skills if not all are not much difrent at 100 or 10.

Now stat points are where the difrence is! Most people have yet to notive this! Go out an mine and mine and mine some more, this raises youre str stats and allows you to hit a lot harder with meele weapons or go fire mana missile for few days that will raise youre int up and makes youre spells hit alot harder

That's because most skills don't actually do anything other than unlock other skills :P

It's Use based.

Confirmed as I'm at 100 swim, and I can go jump in the ocean and swim for an hour doing nothing else but moving in a straight line, and gain stats.
