What good does it do to raise beacon??

I can't for the love figure out what good it does to have more than 1 skill point in beacon...

@ 25%, 50% etc. (Could be 33%, 66% but i dont remember)

It increases duration, & adds more balls for better sight on targets.

At 50 its sound changes from the really annoying one to a relatively nice one.. :Pv
