So it's happened to me more than once and it's really ticking me off!
I am hunting and another 'fellow' Mercian (polearm) uses knockback on me to knock me away from the tombstone I am looting. Sure... he goes rogue for 10 secs but heck...what am I going to do about it? I can't kill him without taking an alignment hit and now this guy has loot off of my kill.
Perhaps Aventurine can fix this so that when I am looting a PVE MOB, another player can't use knockback on me? I don't know... Thoughts?
You get knockback and knock him away first :)

Heh... I'm a sword and board guy and only skill level 32. No knockback option for me here.
Um. you get knockback at lvl 25.
Goto your capital city and buy it. Cant buy it from the noob towns.

Yes, because it's a great idea to go gray for 2 minutes in a spawn camp where there are other players just waiting for an opportunity to gank a rogue.

If you are having trouble with people stealing loot, start hitting them every 11 seconds until they start hitting back. then wait.
When they go grey for 2 minutes, rape em.

I forgot to add: If you get punted away from the tombstone, sprint up and punt them back. They went rogue for 10 seconds so why can't you?

These 'other players' you speak of have not discovered the beauty of redness.
How much PvP skill do they have if they spend all thier time avoiding PvP fights?
They probably dont have much PvE skill either if they spend all their time stealing other peoples' loot.
Break out of the box. Go red. This dangerous in-game life makes you tougher in-game.
To be honest, some of the best PvPers I've ever seen are red, bound at NPC cities, and spend all day PvPing anyone else they see (including guildmates).

If you ever kill him, just remember not to gank him as its -12 alignment (which equal to insta red from + 10) in total if you kill, gank and he don't forgive you.

People stop doing that to me quick. Since i've gotten air magic i'll rip half the life off of someone who is looting who just knocked me back before they turn blue again.. You really don't want to stand still and eat elemental magic in the back

Yeah agree with earlier poster. Go red, then you wont have this problem anymore. Granted, you'll have other problems, but not this one.
Myself, I'm at -98 alignment and have no intention of going back. They knocked me back ONE TIME TOO MANY.

If you are going to take the moral high road on this one then you are going to have to deal with getting your loot taken.
I don't really see what the problem is with knocking people off of your loot but then again I don't understand a lot of people.

kinda funny actually the person goes rogue for 12 seconds and halfway through the battle they go blue(unless they keep hitting you) and then next thing you know wam you are now the rogue and they are beating on ya.

Give him a break.
First of all.... as soon as somebody starts to "farm" you you have to switch roles. Stop farming gold, get full health and start stacking him.
Important. Do it in cold blood. Do not let emotions rule you.
For a starter get in full health, bank, make sure everything in place and start hunting him. Wait till he goes gray and hit him in the back. Knock back is not really need it but helpfull you can knock him in direction of MOB.
Send tell to other "victim" two of you can get him down to low health fast and run him out.
Most importantly relax and have fun even if you lose

Quickly switch to bow as you are flying back and unload into him while he is gray. If the loot is worth more then alignment to you then finish killing him with no remorse.
Or hell just kill him anyway and then dance on his grave.
Do you have any friends near by? Or are you pretty good 1v1 pvp?
If so you just follow the guy. Make him aware that you are on to him. Then when you are all alone gank his ass. (Assuming you have some alignment built up) and wait 2 mins and go bank what he had on him.
I was ganked once when I had very low health. Guy got some leather armor and a crappy r10 sword and that's it.
So I found him because we were close to where I was bound, then followed him.
He went and sold my crappy gear and went to his bank and put on some of his own gear.
I followed him. He knew I was following him too. And he got scared but could do nothing about it. When we were far enough outside the towers and no other players close by I beat his ass..
Got his r20 axe :D
It was sweet revenge. And I no longer cared that he ganked me when I was already beat down by something else.

If you think that's bad, there was an Alfar following me around and interrupting my /bindstone_recall for like 15 minutes, had to kill him. He was naked too. Some people have nothing to do it seems.
no dont make knockback un useable on someone looting, i intend to use that to knock all the noobs away from the mobs i kill who try to loot my shit.

To OP, this is supposed to be a game mechanic, he could of just ninja looted faster then instead, but used knockback.
Kill him, go red, once you join a guild and leave starter cities being red is more advantageous. Damn used a big word going to sleep. Use a bow in his back, always sends a good message.

The problem is not the knock back or the one hit flagging system, its the loot system. Currently anyone can loot anyone kill at the moment the mob drops. Instead I recommend a period of time that loot can only be looted by the person that did either majority of damage, kill blow, or at least attacked the mob. If someone other then that try to loot there should be a warning saying that you will 3 minute flag by looting the corpse. Currently the Thief Skill does not gain points or have a penalty. Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching people kill things and then knocking them off of my loot. I think its funny when people get pissed off instead of thinking ahead and trying to knock me off first. People get so pissed.
In fact last night some trash chick tried to PK me for it instead died and had like 6 of her followers come out to kill me, I was dying to laughter that I had pissed someone off that bad, I thought for sure they would have warred us but I overestimated them.

I don't think AV will consider this a problem. In fact I think this is exactly the kind of frustration they want in this game. My advice like many others you will get would be to knock him back before he knocks you back.
If a particular person is doing this. Just follow them around and annoy them the same way they are annoying you. People tend to do things and then bitch when the same thing is done to them..
Maybe you could teach him a lesson for the rest of us

You can fix this right quick. Guy hits you? Hit him over the head for about 8 seconds with the biggest weapon you have. Then when he turns blue, hit him every 10 seconds. I guarantee you that either you or him will be wanting to leave that spawn or will die over it.
That doesn't fix the issue that he can be back there one minute later, naked, and continue knocking you around. That's a bigger problem.

Did you ever think, even just for a second, that they did that on purpose? Most of the crap I see people whining about on this forum is there to encourage conflict.
This is a pvp-centric game and not a game for loot whores. If someone is jacking your stuff, kill their ass. Problem solved. If the notion of that is appalling to you, you're not going to like this game very much.

Says the person that rolls in groups at least six deep. Being red is viable when you aren't alone. That guy is presumably solo.

As an Alfar you might as well be red, everyone kills you anyway. If they don't kill you on sight they just wait for you to be low on health and then kill you.

just so you know the knockback skill you buy is about 10 times better than polearm knockback....it will make a person fly anywhere from 15-30 feet depending on skill level

my thoughts are you are a solo player and either A, need a group, because you are failing at PVE/PvP, or B are a new player that needs to learn to Kill other players and/or learn to be red or learn to kill other factions too.
if i am at a mob spawn, which rarely i am at, i would usually let the people loot up a bunch and then kill them after like 30-45 min so i know they have tons to loot. you, are the type of player that wishes to be left alone in pve, in a pvp game.

when i gank people in the middle of spawns, other people usually either A, run to the bank, or B attack me and die so I get more loot. its win win either way. wtf would i be at a gob/troll spawn for anyway? its for your fucking loot=cash=maybe400-600 a pop, oops, dont turn your back!
learn to intimidate, then if that doesnt work, learn to kick their asses and loot fast.
