Stick with WoW dude... stick with WoW. Or SWG I've heard had a popular server for that... sun something.

But for Darkfall in it's current state? No, just no.

Just Load up Second Life, all the ERP you heart can take.

Yes

That explains why the absence of moderators is almost feelable

Hrm...I don't get it...what is there to moderate?

He asked a valid question, he did not use offensive language (and that is quite permitted in these forums), nor made any discriminatory comment.

Is it out of topic? Not really either. If political backstabbing, Murder and assassination, Religion and Spirituality, Ambition and Conquest, Commerce and Creativity are all aspects of Role Play...why not Love and Sex?

Yes really Galaxies. A woman I played AoC with (who is a bigger pervert than any man I have met) says there is a huge ERP community on that server. I can't recall the name.

Was probably Sunstrider...

But SWG kinda had all the support for this, Cantina, Exotic Dance Skills, Music, Drinks, Personal housing...or Romantic Scenery, slave girls, bounty hunters etc...

I still think Second Life is the only place for people seeking eERP...

Second Life is Cyber, plus it's just plain creepy...

Something a lot of people do not understand is that cyber and ERP are two completely different things.

ERP is in-character and -will- affect your character long term and his/her point of views of people. It drives your characters story on, maybe having sex with some woman could change a cold hearted battle hardened warrior back into a warm jolly friendly man (Just an example I've seen personally).

Cyber is... well... not. Cyber is what you do on yahoo and AOL like Bloodninja (google bloodninja cyber chat if you have no idea what I'm talking about... funny stuff). I don't really understand cyber as... I could probably never ever ever get off on it unless my girlfriend was the one on the other end. Cyber is all you, not some fantasy story.

Edit: On a side note.... I'm biased against Second Life because it just disturbs me. It's the real world online (And not even that, since I imagine most of the people there are just sitting there jerking it or fingering themselves which tips the odds even MORE in your favor of getting e-action. This in itself gives you a false sense of the real world and when you REALLY leave your shell you go to a bar and get your heart crushed because your mad dance skills don't get you laid). What's the fucking point? That game is for insecure people who are too afraid to go out in the real world and try their hand at getting laid. Blech..

This.

Ever seen a brontosaurus and a terradactyl going at it?

Those effects were long term. Believe me.

I personally call it RRP (Romatic Role Play), since it's not just the 'erotic' bit. Indeed, it is IC.
If you play WoW, go and visit 'Scarshield Legion' and whisper a guy named 'Maglor'. Enough of that around there. *nods*

Sunstrider is the server on SWG, but it hasn't always been. I got bored waiting for Darkfall and logged back on after a few years absence, and if you're looking for most any kind of RP that's the server.

Actually I have the same feeling about SL...I never got in to it either, yet honestly the problem is not the environment itself, as SL offers the tools for anyone to make all the IC content they wish...the problem is the people, who play it IMO.

People are what defines a society, not the landscape (or in this case the Virtual Environment), 99% of the people in SL want to play as themselves in a different world..therefore even if the game offers the possibilities and the tools, the people use them differently according to the established by the community rules.

RRP, yes I fancy :)

Pteradactyl. Can't be easy to type with those hands though, you're forgiven.

Now this fellow here could probably cyber anything.

Problem with that... is people are -not- playing themselves. They're playing a fantasy character and passing it off as themselves. I don't know.... it just really creeps me out to the highest degree, and it simply cannot be good for the people who actually "play" it (I feel the same way about the sims online). I simply don't see any need whatsoever for a world online that's exactly like the real world when you could do it yourself and have real human interaction (therein lies the plot... the fear of human interaction and rejection). With a game like that, you're simply not going to attract a pleasing crowd as far as real roleplay goes, because the real roleplayers aren't looking for stuff they can already do in real life.

will say more later, have to go ----

Following up on this.... people define a society because the society is the people. That means nothing. The virtual world presented in SL leaves you do basically do one thing. Have cyber. Cyber is like the endgame of Second Life.

I don't know, maybe it's just because I refuse to play it. The way they pitch it is like a business aid tool while you play a game (they even claim people teach useful things. Whether any of this is true I don't know). All I know is that I haven't met a single person who played SL for anything other than cyber and boredom.
