The fast way to raise your magic school

Im asking myself this question , maybe some of you can answer it :
I got 62 in lesser magic school , im using mana missile at 51 to raise this school , it is faster to raise LM by buying a new skill at lvl 1 or it will be the same even if you are not raising your MM lvl the LM is upping ?

I know if you buy LM skill like mana efficiency it a bit faster to raise your LM school . But is the school raising by itself or taking all your lvl spell to raise ?

I have found that my Lesser Magic went up faster when I use multiple spells.

It depends on reagents, cast time, mana cost and recharge time. I was able to make a macro that casts rend and beacon as often as possible to minimize the time doing nothing. i found it went faster then just spamming rend, which has a 17 or so cooldown anyhow and beacons is 32 ish. and tbh i went oom about the same speed in both, since beacon barely has a mana cost, and i skilled up tons faster. you just gotta find your balance.
