Benefits of having 100 in a crafting skill?

I have 100 in woodcutting and it said 'the power of woodcutting is surging' or something like that but I see no change at all when I'm woodcutting.
Does anyone know of a benefit you get for having the skill at 100 or are there simply no benefits at all?

I have not personally experienced this, but you could try crafting a raft when your skill is at 100, and see if it makes an uber raft :P.

Success rate for raft raises from 72% to 83% from skill 75 to 100 .

Success rate also depends on your wisdom. I had 75% chance at 75 skill.
