Archery and bows....

I am kind of new to this game but I love the archery skill.

My question is to those of high level who use bows, are they something you use in pvp alot and as your skill raises are there bows that have a longer range than say the hunters bow, which I pretty much use now.

Also is it worth dropping near 200 gold for a tier 3 bow or is it pretty much just an expensive hunter bow?

money is relative .. if ur net worth is less than 1000g dont buy bows ... go to goblins, sell the short bows and keep the flatbows ... decent rank 10s ....

or spend 500g on bowyer, fletch arrows, and make rank 00 bows that are better than rank 10s ....

Oh, the other question I had on bows was, do the higher level bows have better range?

Bows have quite a long range and are very useful in PVP. If someone runs, bust out a bow and shoot them down. Higher level bows do more damage.

Range doesn't increase as bow lvls increase. as soon as you start the game you can shoot an arrow extremely far.

High level archery is pretty much a guaranteed kill if the person starts running away from you and you have decent aim. On average with 80ish archery and 40ish the damage increase skill I can get back shots off on people for around 35-45 damage a pop. Naked farmers I down in 6-8 shots or less depending on if I get all back shots or not which takes about a whole 10-15 seconds.

dont buy bows

grind the goblins for a bit and get ~5-10 flatbows then you need to focus on making thousands of arrows

Yeah, I'm taking a break and going to start to get my archery up, it's alot better then elemental magics for now, which is kind of stupid.
