Your damage/effect listings need to have a place for the rank of the spell and its school, the caster's intelligence, and the damage modifier of the staff. Without this data, any numbers given are 99% useless.

not quite true, just use the starter staff. that way the user can just take the values into account when they pick a higher staff.

i do agree with spell rank though. that should be better documented, the site isnt 100% perfect.

look at wikipedia, they ask for donations too and... the whole content is based on other´s "noun of contribute". So wpuld you say its stupid of wikipedia to ask for donations too?

Because you can't comprehend greater magic schools yet. There are about 140 known spells in the game, but you can only know 6 of the 10 schools. (If you learn fire you can't learn water ect)

The starter staff would only bias the results because it prevents the damage level of spells outside the lesser magic school. If one wants to see the full damage of a fireball one should take into account the rank of their staff (damage modifier) and skill level of that spell and it school as well. None of the information can be missing.
