I actually decided to fuck with the dragon towards the center of agon a few weeks back. I found that he actually didn't hit for that much damage if you paid attention. If you kite him towards one of the super big spindly trees, all of those branches shield you from his fire attacks. I managed to climb up on the branches and hit him with 3 arrows. 6.5 4.0 and 5. He then circled a few times and flew away.

We attacked him in beta.. hit for around 6 with bows.

used about 300 arrows on him total and didn't see his health move.

Not surprising considering land mobs have hundreds of thousands of HP in some cases.

In fantasy lore and myth and what not, Dragons loot and horde treasure, usually stuffing and hiding it all away deep in a cave or lair. Dragons in DnD yield triple standard treasure :D w00t!

That's a mix in between how Smaug(The Hobbit) had to be killed and some other movie i've seen(Black arrow had nothin to do with The Hobbit but one scale missing was).

Dragon's in lore are meant to be pests and it should be your duty to kill it and not worry about loot, if i was in-game i would try to set up a huge raid to take it out just for the hell of it but i'm not so i'll just keep waiting until more servers are up:bang:

No one knows how many it takes. I'm fairly sure it hasn't been done yet and probably won't be done for a long time. You would most probably need more than 200 people.

It depends if the big group is in a clan. Clans tend to organise a player to loot and then it is distributed evenly.

only with his natural regeneration, you need to be at least 15-20 (and dont miss any hit) if you want to decrease faster his life as he can regens it.

anyway, you can kill him at 60-70 but we estimated that it would take around 10 hours ... ; 200-300 players and surely less than 2 hours -
And if it was so easy to make it land on the ground (and stay on it!), surely, he would have been killed since a long time, cause his nucks suck.

That sounds like the Dragon that followed me around for an hour or more in Beta.

I admit i was pissed at about the 20min mark after realizing i couldn't shake the bugger. But after numerous close deaths and failed hiding spots i found a big tree to hide under as night set in. He circled most of the night (throwing his fire down all around my tree) only leaving once, when some other poor sod came nearby.

Hearing the cries for help from the unknown poor sod while i was tucked safely under my tree, i realized how cool it all was.

Then as the sun rose i poked my head out from under the tree, and seeing nothing i ran, and i kept running for a very long time.

dont think he wants to, as the only 3 spawns i know of are SE corner of the Agon blob, the one on ruby (conviniently close to your city) and 1 on cairn, not sure exactly where though.

for most clans and alliances, that puts them into hostile territory, just asking for enemies to rally up and ambush.
