i was just wondering what you guys happen to think upon the subject. my guild absolutely think its an issue of when you're at war with an enemy faction or guild, not being able to see if they have a red name is stupid since they are able to attack you without consequence, alignment penalty, or whatever.

again, the issues we were wondering about what everyone thinks about the enemy guilds not being flagged red and the enemy factions.

Its a not a real problem but they could totally flag them as red, it would kinda help I guess.

They tried something similar in beta... people got angry.

why not just use one color for the both of them. like a yellow or green or something. i think some type of color should be addressed to someone that can kill you without being shot by the towers or being hit by an alignment.

Should make it so that the clans can toggle how they see other clans names. Basically Clan A is at war with Clan B. Clan A's leader decides to make clan B's names Red - to help stand out for the Clan A members. Everyone else in game, including Clan B's members will still see them as the normal color. Problem solved.

SOMETHING should be done. not right now of course, lol, things like this are the least of aventurines problems but i think this issue should eventually be changed.

this has been brought up before, and i totally think they should have special colors for 'at war' and 'wary. war = red wary = orange

"Big floating tokens over clan member's heads" is not similar to "being red."

I think it should only work in the nearby vicinity - similar as UO - enemies - orange, reds...well... red, allies - green.

For example if you van see target's name and discription at range of 100, Make the 'hues' taking affect at range of 50. (maybe excluding the reds).

This - evey distant target will be blue and when you close by you will see the "hue", thus not resulting in auto identify when seeing someone - you will need to read his clan name, but it will certainly help in battles.

o.O what's the problem? If you keep track of which guilds you're at war with, then you will know who to attack, before they attack you, by looking at their guild tag. If you pee in people's beer and then want a safe spot in the cities, well maybe you should have thought of that before? Actions have consequences. Gotta love that about this game.

Or you could just fight with everyone, it makes things soooo much simpler.

I would love to be able to have colour coded tabbards etc too that would help.

Red name and blue names aren't good imo. Red shows that someone is a blod thirsty killer and will kill anyone. Not only that but people in your clan or other clans on your side could be red and confuse things even more.

I think Allied clan names should be green, enemy clans should be orange. That way you can tell at a glance if someone is an enemy or not.

Once you get into large sieges (tonight for example) and you start to drop to 10 fps or less you don't really get a chance to read a clan or anything else. Having the names (even murderes in enemy clans should be orange) then the 10fps is more bearable

hell this would work instead of colored names. would be less "carebear" and probably more in the realm of what AV is actually able to comprehend

I don't understand why some people are against colour coding to make it clear when someone is able to attack you/be attacked by you without penalty. They invariably use 'real life' to justify that you shouldn't be able to tell this just by looking at the player name, yet they don't recognize that we already have this for members of our own race--so why not for the enemy race?

Why should I automatically know that a member of my race is a criminal or not (grey or red), but not that a member of the enemy race is an enemy? I think it should be much more obvious to a Mirdain that an Alfar is an enemy than recognize a Mirdain who turned criminal.

It makes no sense that the colour you see only represents the target's alignment to his own race. As a Mirdain, why should I know whether that Alfar is a criminal his own race? That makes NO sense at all. If anything, I should see him automatically as an enemy to ME.

Stick with blue/grey/red for your own race/alliance if you must and at least add a new colour to represent people of an enemy race.

i too think colored names could be a good idea when it comes to guilds war, but not the red color

red should be only for pkers, and i don't think opposite factions should have differents colors; just pkers and guild's ennemies
