Launch is about polearm range, and is generally used on yourself to get to a vantage point that others cannot reach...such as towers (think rocket jumping).
Begone is a magic version of knockback. Nobody has it yet.

did launch get nerfed? so far mine is at 34 and it launch me only about 10 feet in the air, less than a low skilled knockback to be more precise. Is it working as intended and get much better at 50-75-100?

Launch sends you more up into the air then anything else unless you are running when you cast it at your feet. Begone is the magic version of a weapon knockback that sends you flying away.
