Making nodes global is great idea. But water fishing nodes are very bugged now. Noone was fishing around and all coast from 1 city to second city was cleared out of fishes. 1st city: "failed, failed, no fish here". 50m away: "failed, no fish here". And same thing 60 times till I reached next city in distance 3km from 1st one.

AV please make either fishing nodes smaller or give them much more fishes than 50, or make respawn time much faster - now its once in 24h ?

I move to say that ponds and lakes are limited, but have a lot. And oceans or anything attached to the ocean should be infinite.

I mean...it's an ocean.

/agree

Please, the ocean shouldn't be depleted of fish in certain areas. We're talking loads of fish near the coast in real life, so why make them so incredibly scarce in a heavily populated area? Mass fishing will not hurt the economy, so I say remove the limit.

I live in front of the beach/ocean, and I have actually stumbled out of a club at 2am.. said to a buddy in a drunken slur.. "yo dude.. we should like umm.. go fishing and stuff." Which we did.. with bait i managed to snag from the fridge and 10+ year old fishing poles....

And I actually caught some Striped Bass :)

Ocean should be infinite imo...

I said I walked whole ocean coast from 1 city to another. Even in between cities ocean was out of fishes...
I woudnt care if 1 node was 2m x 2m and have 50 fishes there. But currently it seems 1 ocean node is 100m x 100m and whole square got only 50 fishes global.

And really fishing isnt anything valuable, I just wanted to try some fishing. Even mining iron ore isnt so hardcore

Noticed that the fishing node was essentially a map gridblock as well. I can't imagine that was intended.

Yup spent a couple of hours today running along the coast and no fish anywhere

so what are the boundaries from one fishing node to another? I mean if its along the coast, anyone know how far the boundaries are? What about really long rivers? I think there should be fishing nodes every 50m or so.

Didn't they say somewhere that if one area was over-hunted/fished, that the species (like in real life) would move on to another location?

I believe that's in reference to mobs. Fishing should act like other harvesting nodes. Right now, one entire grid block on the map acts as one node - it's comparable to having only one tree or one herb plant in an entire 100mx100m area giving resources.

Agreed. I went 3-4 hour trip on raft to help seige a city and decided to fish off of the raft while moving. Works sometimes, but anyways. I was only able to get 50 fish. It was literally an ocean. I mean can there be a bit more fish in the ocean please? A 4 hour trip that is one huge node.
