Also, your skill, str, do they increase distance or only damage?

Not officially, and if it does, then its not noticable unofficially.

I've only noticed increased damage.

You want it to be of 'Rank' under your skill level. If you use a weapon that is above your skill level it breaks considerably faster.

What is the difference?

If you using a bow lower than your skill it will break within a couple hours of straight use.
If it above it will be within 30 mins to an hour of use.

So, I guess there is no damage difference for using bow of your skill vs rank then. Kind of like what it does for melee with str level, rank wep under skill level, so 40 rank, 40str.

bows have a "damage: .whatever" stat, the higher the rank the higher the damage.

Also crafted bows have higher dmg than drops

IE: regular shortbow is damage: .6
crafted can be .61-.68 ish...
